So sorry to hear that! Do you have a therapist? Or a parent or friend that you can reach out to?

I dont have parents anymore, my dad past away 2 years ago and my mother dont want me in her life. I have friend, but I feel like I'm bothering them with my anxiety.

I'm so sorry to hear that! It can be scary for both you and your friends but I'm sure they would want to help you as best as they could. Also, consider reaching out to Lifeline! It's free and very helpful. You can text them or call them!

Most states have mental health organizations that have information about social services, state and county services and self- help groups. They can help you find services near you, possible social workers or therapists, and self-help groups. Anxiety can be treated with talk therapy, medications and/or support groups. You are not alone.
Sometimes when the sun goes down, and I feel this weird sensation all over my body making me uneasy. I am not saying that it makes me sad, I know when it's sadness, I had my share if sadness but it's just different from what I feel in a normal day light. But at dusk, some limbo sort of feeling between day and night. Just ant to know am I alone in this?

I don't have a name for it but I know that people buy those 'light boxes'? I just changed my light bulbs to more intensive ones. I got 2 led lightbulbs with yellow light and one with white in my room and I turn on yellow light for chilling and white for studying and stuff and it helps a lot actually!

Try some difficult puzzle. Loud, fast music. Cleaning? Take a book and a piece of paper and just start rewriting it. Just whatever makes you focus on something else.
People usually give advice on how to calm down but in my case, I found it much easier to divert attention instead.
Thank you E. Yesterday I have anxiety about my wedding coming up and I did exactly what you said. I change my mind out of it.
@Vanessa No problem! I also have anxiety and I tried many things but this works the fastest and there's always a possibility that you get so into doing something that you forget you were anxious in the first place which is not possible with special anxiety breathing exercises or anything like that. :)

I feel the breathing exercises make every thing worst. I'm a big fan of meditation, don't get me wrong but if I'm having a panic attack or extreme anxiety meditation do not work for me.
@Vanessa for me breathing exercises help with mild panic or just getting my breath stabilised if i have a panic attack but then i have to DO something to get my mind out of the stressful situation or it just comes back. different things work for different people. meditation works to make you more calm in general. it's more like a vaccine. but it's hard to get into a state suitable for meditation when you're already stressed because you just are left with all your bad thoughts and nothing else
@E. Exactly! My anxiety is better sence I'm not a shame anymore and I'm abble to tell my husband or friend when I have anxiety.
Trying to meditate when I'm anxious can often worsen it. I'm like E. I find doing something practical to distract myself helps - especially gardening, or housework if the weather's not so good. It also means the jobs get done which makes me feel better! Sometimes, it's about working off some of the nervous energy - and while I may not feel better at the time, I know that it's doing me good, physically and mentally.
That also helps to me, particularly cleaning and tidying up. It distracts me and it makes my environment a more pleasant place to be.
Vanessa wrote: "Having a lot of anxiety today.. Don't know what do to anymore to feel better."Sorry to hear you are feeling anxiety today. What do you typically do to soothe yourself on the onset? Why do you feel your having a hard time finding things to make you feel better?
My MDD is getting better of me,... not even running to book worlds can help me escape it, I didn't imagine not having my medication for two days can still do this to me...
I think I have toxic family members and I'm wondering how to deal with it or if anyone has any advice? I'm underaged so I can't move away. I struggle daily with it/them and it's slowly starting to destroy me and I'm not in a position to get help from anyone ie. a therapist. My brother's a good support system but it only goes so far.
You know when an abused dog is rehomed and then given an entirely new name in order to help with the process of recovering? I feel like rehoming myself and adopting a new name.
