Jenny Clark I'm going to work on No Way and War and Peace, and possibly read a volume or two of Akame Ga Kill. Maybe 6 hours, depending on how things go.

message 2: by Holly (new)

Holly (goldikova) From my Unread Shelf I pulled a book written by a local author, Sahmara. My goal is to read as much as possible on Sunday, ten or twelve hours.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) I have three day weekend, and hopefully get to leave a bit early from work tomorrow, so that will all help. =)

Like others, I have some team challenges and other challenges I'm focusing on since the month is coming to an end.

Okay, this will all look over-ambition (below), but I over-planned books to read this month and for challenges, so it will seem a bit hectic.

Between now and Sunday, I would like to finish:

🔷The Chronicle of Heloise & Grimple (70% done) - finished Friday night
🔷Kindred (25% done)
🔷It's Kind of a Funny Story (Bit over half done) - finished Saturday
🔷Exorcist Falls - At the very beginning, finished the sequel this week, is a shorter book - finished Saturday

I would like to start and work on (hopefully finish some!) the below books (likely will not start all of them, but these are the priority for the weekend:)

🔷The Husband's Secret - Want to start this one, it is a BOM for a team challenge, doubt I will finish this weekend
🔷The Window at the White Cat - Would like to read and finish, shorter
🔷Murder House - Would like to start and finish, these are usually quick reads finished Friday night
🔷Unearthly - this one is a bit over 400 pages, so will probably just start this one
🔷Urban Shaman - Works for three challenges, over 400 pages, will try to start
🔷Death's Mistress - Works for three challenges, also longer, quick read genre, would like to start
🔷His Cocky Cellist - Usually a quick read
🔷Getting Wilde- New in Urban Fantasy, not sure when to finish
🔷Obsession - Start this one, doubt I'll finish it until during the week

I don't have a specific time goal, will try to read as much as possible the next few days in between getting other stuff done. We shall see!

Excellent plan, Erin! ;-)

I don't have a specific time goal either. Between actual reading and listening to audiobooks while doing chores/yardwork, etc., I'd love to accrue 24 hours over the 3 days. I'll have to see how it goes, but that's the plan.

Good goals! How far are you into War and Peace? I’m currently working on Moby Dick and I’d say I’m 75% through that.

That’s sounds like an interesting book. You’ll have to keep us posted on how it’s going.

I always seem to over plan my reading goals as well. Those are some lofty goals, but you are going to do great! Good luck!

Currently these are my goals, but they could change depending on what reading I get in today:

100 One-Night Reads: A Book Lover's Guide (library ebook need to finish)
Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany (library ebook need to finish)
Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader (library ebook)
The Catcher in the Rye (banned book forever on my TBR)
Women Rowing North: Navigating Life’s Currents and Flourishing As We Age (library book)

I would like to get in 24 hours total (but I always forget to time myself).

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) Oh I love books about reading a nd books, sounds like you have some good ones on there.
I actually LOVED Catcher in the Rye once I got into it. Long paragraphs but I loved the MC

I'm just about halfway, have been reading it since last year. I have a goal of about 60 pages a month, so this should help me with that for sure!

I posted my tbr in the other thread. My husband has to work all 3 days of the readathon and he works 12 hour days so I'm hoping to reach the 24 hours, it'll be my first time reaching it if I do.

message 17: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Clark Finished No Way just now- about 3 hours for this readathon in it. A really good book, if you like science fiction. Mars is terrifying!

Hm, that sounds pretty good. Have you read the first book? Haven't heard of this series. I'm not the biggest Sci-fi fan but I am when it's creepy or when it's certain books like The Martian Chronicles
