Read a book being adapted for TV or film this year.

NOS4A2 by Joe Hill is turning into an AMC TV show. I read it years ago but I highly recommend it. It's my all time favorite book. I'm probably going to pick either Good Omens by Neil Gaimen and Terry Pratchett cause it's being made into a show I believe and it also counts for the coauthored challenge too! Other suggestions for this one would be A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness and Catch-22 was just made into a show for Hulu... That's all I got off the top of my head.
I've already read Where'd You Go, Bernadette, Little Women, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, and The Turn of the Screw, so maybe Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman or The Call of the Wild. Or possibly A Dog's Journey, since I've already seen the movie.
It looks like they may finally have a release date for We Have Always Lived in the Castle. It's been in the can for quite some time, though, so I don't know if it would count as "being adapted...this year." What do you think?
I've already read it so I'm going to pick something else for myself, but I highly recommend Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. Also, The Knife of Never Letting Go is one of my favourite books and that has a movie coming out this year.
I read Good Omens a dog’s age ago, a couple times (the last time was at least 10 years ago), but I have been hoping to reread it this year. Even though it’s a reread, I am going to do it for this category, because it isn’t like American Gods, which I have read at least 4 times, and recently. I’m going to do a separate book for the “co-author” category, though.UPDATE: Changed my mind. Planning to read Where'd You Go, Bernadette instead to get an Antarctica book in. But I HIGHLY recommend Good Omens. (I might just reread it before summer properly starts.)
I am leaning towards Little Women or Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman. Shrill is a series that recently debuted on Hulu that looks so fun!
I read Good Omens two months ago because I was so excited for the series. I guess I'll just have to read another book for this challenge
Sravani wrote: "I'm going to re-read Stargirl for this!"I have been waiting for them to make Stargirl into a movie since I read it like 15 years ago! I haven't read it since then. I was going to read Good Omens for this one...but now I might have to join you!!
I haven't Martha. For this one I am going to reread The Hot Zone: The Terrifying True Story of the Origins of the Ebola Virus. Nat Geo is doing a mini-series based off this book and its airing May 27 -29.
Picking up The Witcher: The Last Wish for this one. It’s based off the video game series and I keep hearing its really good. If it’s anything like the games then I have no doubt it’ll be interesting. I’m hoping I don’t need to be super familiar with the game series lore to understand the book. My in-game knowledge of the myth is is pretty surface level.

Martha wrote: "Has anyone read The Knife of Never Letting Go?"It's one of my favourite books, I actually re read it earlier this year in preparation for the movie. I recommend it for sci fi and ya fans.
I am thinking of doing The Rhythm Section for this prompt ... has anyone read it yet? Or want to do a buddy read with me and read this?

Ooo thank you! :)
I finished Where'd You Go, Bernadette yesterday. It was very good. I'm not sure however how well this will translate into a movie. I guess we'll see in August
I'm reading The Knife of Never Letting Go for this one. I'm really enjoying it; and conveniently it is over 400 pages long too :o)
Courtney wrote: "The Art of Racing in the Rain"I had no idea this was being made into a movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I am a sucker for books about dogs.
