2014 Reading Olympics discussion

After extensive experimentation (and several mods overturning their boats and flipping into the shark-infested water), we have discovered that it will take exactly 50 strokes to reach the finish line. That being said, it's up to all of you to determine how quickly you can accomplish it.

To avoid swimming with the sharks, each country must select a book to satisfy each of the 50 locations below. Each book must take place in the given location. For example, if I were given these 5 locations, these are the books that I would likely pair with each one:
1. New York - City of Bones
2. London - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
3. Beach - The Summer I Found You
4. Movie Theater - Lola and the Boy Next Door
5. Imaginary World - Alice in Wonderland

Don't worry, your locations will be quite a bit harder - we weren't letting you off that easy! Once your country has selected a book for each location, PM your list of books to me. Do not post it below! And no, you cannot reuse books, so choose wisely!

How much time needs to be spent in the location? Like could it be a scene or does the whole book have to take place in the location?
