Leonard Gaya (leonard_gaya) Another short chapter, focusing on a specific aspect of the aerial element: the clouds. Obviously, this is one of the things that most kindle imagination and daydreaming -- who hasn't seen all sort of strange figures, elephants, giraffes, dolphins, in the soft, puffy, slowly moving shapes of clouds?

Bachelard quotes one of my favourite lines in Baudelaire, and more broadly in French poetry:

-- Eh ! qu'aime-tu donc, extraordinaire étranger ?
-- J'aime les nuages... les nuages qui passent... là-bas... les merveilleux nuages !
