Leonard Gaya (leonard_gaya) In this chapter, plainly titled "Les travaux de Robert Desoille", Bachelard references another obscure character (who might have been famous at the time, I suppose), the French psychotherapist Robert Desoille. Desoille, like so many prominent psychotherapists after Sigmund Freud, was a renegade who developed his method for treating patients: in his case, a daydreaming or walking reverie (rêverie dirigée).

Bachelard elaborates on this method of sublimation and some of the metaphors, images and colours it implies. All in all, I find this section a bit off topic though.
