It's been on my TBR for a while, I'll have to bump it up the list.

Cécile | 56 comments My favorite book is THE CREEPER MAN by Dawn Kurtagich. It begins like a gothic story and it's lots of mysteries, madness and creepy vibes.

Latasha (latasha513) i'm adding all of these to Mount TBR!

** well with the exception of The Carrow Haunt, the others are already on there.

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 505 comments I haven't read any of those! Thank you :)

Kari | 38 comments Michelle Paver's Dark Matter and Thin Air are obvious but still worth mentioning just because I still creep myself out every time I think about them.

Dark Matter was great, I've got Thin Air but haven't read it yet. I've nominated it a few times for GRs but it never wins.

Christa The Good House, Tananarive Due. It was on a "50 best" list and I was already following her on Twitter, so I picked it up. It's wrenching and haunting and I've been looking forward to reading it again... when I get through a little more of my massive TBR backlog...

I think that it was the only book she wrote that was horror. Everything else is romance or mystery. I sometimes wish she would write some more ghost stories. :)

I agree. It's too bad she didn't write anymore in the genre.

message 22: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberly_3238) | 211 comments That was a great, "different" kind of haunted house telling! It would have been nice to have more in that genre by this author.

You can never go wrong with reading a Darcy Coates book! The ghostly stories she creates are very haunting and atmospheric. You will be able to feel the emotions of the characters in her books. Craven Manor is excellent! Have fun reading it! :)
