"I highly recommend this one, too!"
It's been on my TBR for a while, I'll have to bump it up the list.
My favorite book is THE CREEPER MAN by Dawn Kurtagich. It begins like a gothic story and it's lots of mysteries, madness and creepy vibes.
i'm adding all of these to Mount TBR!** well with the exception of The Carrow Haunt, the others are already on there.
Michelle Paver's Dark Matter and Thin Air are obvious but still worth mentioning just because I still creep myself out every time I think about them.

The Good House, Tananarive Due. It was on a "50 best" list and I was already following her on Twitter, so I picked it up. It's wrenching and haunting and I've been looking forward to reading it again... when I get through a little more of my massive TBR backlog...
Here is a couple of books:
by Darcy Coates - finished this last week - five star read!
by Elizabeth Hand - finished last week - four star read!
Oh I just remembered another scary haunted house book I read last year that gave me nightmares! lol Debbie Boek is an indie author and this book rocked! I gave it five stars! :)Check this book out!

I think that it was the only book she wrote that was horror. Everything else is romance or mystery. I sometimes wish she would write some more ghost stories. :)

I agree. It's too bad she didn't write anymore in the genre.
That was a great, "different" kind of haunted house telling! It would have been nice to have more in that genre by this author.
Kelly wrote: "I just ordered Craven Manor by Darcy Coates. I can't wait to read it. Craven Manor"You can never go wrong with reading a Darcy Coates book! The ghostly stories she creates are very haunting and atmospheric. You will be able to feel the emotions of the characters in her books. Craven Manor is excellent! Have fun reading it! :)
I loooove Darcy! She was one of my first indie author loves and I've 4- or 5-starred everything I've read by her, I think.
