Classics: loved by all discussion

This is our discussion topic that is about chapters 11-17 of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. If you have any comments or questions or thoughts add them to this thread. I will add a summary shortly.

When we start chapter 11, we see Wendy telling the lost boys a story about her parents love. Peter says this is not how parent love truly is however. Because of this, Wendy decides that it would be best for her and her brothers to go back to their loving parents. When Wendy decides to leave they get involved in a battle between the pirates and the tribe.
Even though they are fighting the tribe, Hook is there for Peter Pan. He wants to finish him off once and for all.
Once all of the boys and Wendy are taken by the pirates, Peter decides he needs to save them. He needs to fight Hook to the end.
At this point in the novel, we learn a little bit of Hook's past and get to know his character better (which I appreciated).
Hook and the pirates plan on drowning the boys but just as they try, While Hook is getting ready to execute the children, He hears the ticking crocodile. This strikes fear into his heart. However, it is Peter pretending to be the croc to scare Hook and throw him off his game.
Peter and the boys win over the pirates and end up taking over the ship. Peter the captain and the boys the pirates.
Wendy and her brothers eventually go home after seeing how much their parents truly miss them. They learned the true love of parents, especially mothers.

What a great story. I really enjoyed this one. If you did leave a comment talking about the chapters and your final thoughts on the novel. Compare the book even to the movies.
