What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I'm not sure what to class the genre as other than dystopia.

It was a book where homosexuality was considered the preferred sexuality and people who were heterosexual were sent to camps to "fix them", it was a horrible book that I don't suggest anyone ever reads but the title is alluding meand I going crazy trying to remember it.

Plot points that I remember are the MC is the son of some prominent political people and when he is found with a girl he is sent to prison, where he meets another girl and they escape.

The cover was white and blue, I think and the author was a woman.

I think it was released between 4 and 7 years ago, maybe around 2012/2013. Was set in America.

That is all I can remember about that one.

Hadrian's Lover is not the book I was looking for but does deal with a similar theme so it was close.

The Centaur ones were not the one I was thinking of either but they look interesting.

No the author was a woman and I remember she said she had a gay son and that is why she wrote the book, which is odd because it was super homophobic.

Unfortunately that is the not the right book either.

I think it might have been self published and I am thinking the title had "out" in it.
