Tell us what your favorite book of 2019 has been so far!

I'm at a tie - A Curse So Dark and Lonely and The Gilded Wolves. I love a good Beauty and the Beast retelling and Curse was such a unique one. I am also a big fan of squad books and Gilded Wolves did not disappoint; I will not admit to crying at the end of it.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely (A Curse So Dark and Lonely, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves, #1) by Roshani Chokshi

Ann (ann-fracturedfiction) | 516 comments One favorite? I've got 3, each very different: Just Once by Lori Handeland, Becoming by Michelle Obama, and Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. A book to make you feel, to make you think, and to make you laugh.

Jodie Reha Weirdly enough, two of my favorites have been graphic novel retellings of classic novels: To Kill a Mockingbird and Handmaid's Tale!

message 5: by Bernadette (new)

Bernadette | 5 comments I've finally gotten around to actually reading The Lord of the Rings (not sure how I put it off for this long!). So, the first two books in the trilogy (on the third right now) would be my favorite. The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien The Two Towers (The Lord of the Rings, #2) by J.R.R. Tolkien

Susan Newman | 44 comments Fiction: where the crawdads sing
Nonfiction: maybe you should talk to someone

..so far! It will keep getting harder to choose a real favorite for 2019!

Meredith | 6 comments I can’t put down Ani Difranco’s newly released memoir, No Walls and the Recurring Dream.

message 8: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 58 comments I'd have to say it's a tie between Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey and Robert Galbraith's The Cuckoo's Nest. I always have a hard time picking a favorite.
