Cécile | 56 comments Hi !
I'm working on an essay about modern gothic female literature (in french language) and I have a chapter about YA.

Do you have recs for gothic YA (with female/feminist focus) ?

Thanks in advance :)

Latasha (latasha513) i think Amy Lukavics is mostly YA. i've only read 2 of her books. The Women in the Walls was kinda gothic, a little. i don't know about her other books.

Elisa (elisahansen) | 10 comments Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by by Kiersten White
The Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco
The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter by Theodora Goss

The last 3 actually use characters from classic Victorian Gothic novels in their original Gothic settings. I've read and great enjoyed all of them!

Elisa (elisahansen) | 10 comments Oh, also, pretty much anything by Leanna Renee Hieber. Check out all of her books. Some are YA and some are more adult.
