I don't really read scary books but I have read James Dawson's other horror book Hollow Pike which I loved!
I've read Carrie by Shephen King, The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake and Asylum by Madeleine Roux.
I mostly stick to YA horror because I get scared so easily!

On my TBR I only really have Say Her Name and The Madness Underneath by Maureen Johnson in the horror genre =)

Priya Appleby (priyapiggle) | 1 comments I'm a complete wimp when it comes to horror and scary books! The Mara Dyer series really freaks me out, but I generally stay away from all books that book scary! It will be hard for me to pick up Say Her Name, but I am determined!

Beth (owlcat75) I read lots of Stephen King in my teens, but I've become quite the wuss in my older age. I gravitate toward thrillers more than straight up horror, but I'll give this a go in honor of my favorite holiday, Halloween! :)

Karthikeyan Murugesan (MKing2351) I was scared by "The Raven", by Edgar Allan Poe. The way the Raven says "Nevermore" for everything is just scary and the way how each "Nevermore" fits the questions of the hero is beautiful. "Raven" is a poem and more of a tragedy than a straight horror, it has to be my most favorite horror work.

I'll have to give that a go! I've only read Masque of the Red Death by Poe and enjoyed it but I hardly remember it it was so long ago!
