Since most of the "reviewers" only joined in June, have no friends, no email addresses, no profile details, have joined no groups, nor posted any book challenges, I'm assuming they're all bots . . . but to what nefarious purpose their low ratings - I have no idea.
If it's any consolation, when deciding whether or not to read any title, I only pay attention to REVIEWS - not star-ratings.

That's a big consolation, Melki.
I've seen this sort of thing in the past, although thankfully it hasn't happened to me. The last time it happened, someone explained that reviewers gain credibility or some kind of score if they have done lots of reviews or ratings. So the temptation is to generate lots of spam ratings. People have had ratings for books that aren't published yet.The only answer, I think, is to raise it with goodreads. They usually do something although it might take a little while.

Are there any other authors on here who have been inundated with ratings since last week? I can see this is the case with some other authors. I have received 100s'. The system appears to be automatically generating them in two minute cycles. The readers in question are rating 10s' of books over two minute periods. In some cases 50 books in 2 minutes.
Of course I wouldn't be complaining were it not the fact one of my books now has one of the lowest ratings I've seen here on Goodreads thanks to this. Sepultura was 3.88 last week. It's now 3.20 due to 10s of one star reviews appearing out of the blue everyday.
I've received more ratings for my book Necropolis since last Thursday than in the five years previous. I think it had 5 one star review last Thursday. It now has 64. Goodreads are ignoring my emails. Guy
