Hi everyone!

It's your favorite moderator Ingrid here, back from hibernation for the dozenth time!:P

Seriously though, it's so nice and refreshing to see all your beautiful faces!

I'm sure you all are making plans for today. (To all non-American members, enjoy another regular day as always:D ) . I plan on spending the day with family and Netflixing in bed to binge through half a day of my life, watching Strangers Things .

Still others may be planning to crank out more words for their novels, stories, poems. And props to you! That's what this group has been about from the start: willing yourself to write no matter what kind of writer you are.

I created this group when I was 12 years old. I had just finished revising a a poorly written Harry Potter-knockoff that I was so proud to call my own, and after a few searches on the Internet, found a word that I could call myself, that defined my passion so beautifully : a writer

I've lived and breathed that badge for 9 years now, and even though every day hasn't been consistent, I've been adamant that my goal be to crank out a page of writing, conscious or not.

This 4th of July reminds me of the memories I shared building and sharing this group with you all. Adding new segments, folders, moderators, and guidelines that would shape what this group is today. Watching (unfortunately) some ideas and sectors of the group age or grow obsolete from activity. But every moment has been precious with you all.

I come back from time to time to clip & re-read articles here that have changed my outlook on writing altogether. And I love DM'ing some of you who are still going far along in your writing journeys. I'm just finding the right moment to make the journey come alive again with SW.

So happy July 4th everyone. Cheers to being a part of this very Earth, and to being Struggling Writers, now to the very end!

P.S. : And don't worry! I haven't forgotten this group. I'm planning on doing a major house sweep up in the next few months, and I have a lot of old and new things that I want to share with the group.

Have a great Thursday everyone!
