message 1: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) This is where we tell each other what we are writing!

message 2: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) I am currently working on a novel that is about an experiment. I am only eight thousand words into it. It is dystopian. It is very hard to explain.

message 3: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneyelaine) | 28 comments I'm writing a book based off of Peter Pan, except it's Wendy's granddaughter instead of daughter. It's set in the early 1900's. :)

message 4: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) That sounds very cool!

message 5: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneyelaine) | 28 comments Thanks! Yours sounds cool too! :)

message 6: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Thanks!

message 7: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Mine is pretty hard to understand though! How far are you into it? How many words?

message 8: by Zoë (new)

Zoë (zoeblife) Wow Sydney, that sounds so interesting! Have you come up with a title for it?
I'm writing a book called Ashes and it's about Cinderella. There's a whole series that follows, and all the princesses are sisters, separated when they were younger by the Wolfe family, who have a family Vendetta against them. (Wolfe, as in from Red Riding Hood. Get it? That's gonna be last book in the series, called Wolfe)

message 9: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Zoe, that sounds amazing!!!

Sounds cool! I love fairy-tale retellings!

message 11: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Me too!

message 12: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneyelaine) | 28 comments Me too! I found an old retelling of Beauty and the Beast I did years ago and it's so cringe-worthy that I cried but I might try to edit it once I finish my Peter Pan story...
I'm thinking of Returning to Neverland but I'm not sure... what do you guys think?

message 13: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Awesome!

I think its a good idea! The return to Neverland reminds me of what happened in Season 3 of Once Upon a Time. The characters returned to Neverland and that was probably my favorite part of the series!

message 15: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneyelaine) | 28 comments Oh you watch OUAT? Me too! I'm so excited for the new season!

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, I'm just free-random writing at the moment. I like to start/write the beginning of the story.

message 17: by Zoë (new)

Zoë (zoeblife) I love OUAT!!! unfortunately, here in Canada we don't even have the 3 season out yet so i'm behind :)

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I stopped watching it. But maybe i'll pick up on it again!

message 19: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) So what genre do you like writing Haley?

message 20: by Booklover456 (new)

Booklover456 | 8 comments My book has a kind of complicated plot. I'm not done with it yet, but it is a paranormal mystery and kind of a fantasy novel. (Maybe horror, too?) I don't know how to classify it but it involves crazy principals under the influence of an evil and powerful woman. (When she is in her real form, she has long, thick leathery wings. She has devil horns, a devil tail and long sharp nails that could break skin just by lightly grazing by it. A part of their skin is ripped off- right next to the heart, exposing a beating, slimy heart and black ribs. She has yellow eyes. )

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

In English we are writing expository essays about a character in the book we read the outsiders.

message 22: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Sounds Cool!

message 23: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Dude, complicated plots are great. Mine's that way too, but it's a science fiction/historical fiction/dystopia-type story, and it's basically about why time travel shouldn't be attempted even if it does become possible in the future. Simply put, a bunch of people in a dystopian-ish future go back in time to try to change the future, and it goes on to show how the slight change in history affects everything. Also Hitler's in there somewhere, because why not. (I'm really interested in how Hitler could have turned out, for some reason...)

message 24: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Cool!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Fancy.

message 26: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) I have been really busy with school and stuff so i have not written alot. Here is a little something to show you what i am writing.

They asked us to sacrifice ourselves for their experiment. Finally, when only one teen volunteered they said they would chose themselves. They told us to meet at the Center. They chose seven people from each city. I am one of the seven from Cress. All of us seven will either die or spend the rest of our lives controlled by the Center. I am not willing to live my life controlled. I will fight until I get my way.
My name is Sarah Lee and I am the only one left in my family. I am 16 and I will never let the Center control me. They will try to make me weak but I will be made stronger. They will try to kill me but they will be the ones killed. I will bring them down.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

A weird book

message 28: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) No, it isn't weird! I might seem weird. It isn't! You have to read it to understand it. I made this for the back of a summary of the book. Or something like that.

Cool Sydney, is it on creative writing because that seems really interesting to me

message 37: by Eden (last edited Nov 18, 2014 01:56PM) (new)

Eden (authoredenm) This is a excerpt from "The Fairy Prophecy"

It feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud of pillows. I feel like I could float to anywhere I want to go. The world around me was black and I couldn't see what was in front of me. I felt peaceful and relaxed.
My vision starts clear as I waken up from my sleep. When I opened my eyes, I saw the green grass below me and the beautiful brilliant blue sky above me. The grass was so soft and I held onto it. I touched the dirt that was mixed into the deep green grass. I tried to get up and it wasn't too easy to do.
When I did get up, I looked around. I was in some forest. I could barely remember anything that had happened to me. My head was throbbing with a headache. I rubbed my temple trying to reduce the pain in my head. I had no idea what was happening to me. I looked at myself looking around for any injuries. There were none in sight. What had happened to me? Why couldn't I remember anything at all?

If it interests you go check it out. There's a link in my comment above. What did you guys think of it?
