This month let’s dip into an urban fantasy series by our Norwescon 43 Guest of Honor, Jacqueline Carey with Dark Currents: Agent of Hel.

This book is set in a Midwestern resort town that features a diverse population of eccentric locals, wealthy summer people, tourists, and fairies, sprites, vampires, naiads, ogres, and other eldritch fold presided over by Hel. It’s up to our protagonist, Daisy, to ensure relations between the mundane and eldritch communities run smoothly.
