Unfortunately, their romance didn't work for me. Aside from one or two mentions of attraction, the first 75% of the book doesn't indicate a romantic connection between them at all. Thus, when it does materialize, it feels contrived.
In fact, I would argue that Kate had more chemistry with Jack than with Dillon.
I wouldn't classify this book as RS, it is definitely more of a thriller with romantic elements that feel forced.
It was definitely more suspense than romance. Just how Jonetta it! I like more romance but I can overlook it if the plot is good and I liked this one, even with all the nasty stuff.
I feel like their attraction was based more on lust. Kate had been alone for so long and Dillon did seemed to have a relationship in a while either. It will be interesting to see what happens between them.
I think the timeline for their “relationship” was about three days. Definitely lust but it didn’t bother me. Anita is right...the mystery and suspense sucked me in.
This was really a mystery with romantic elements.

I felt it was mystery with romance thrown in. It didn't really bother me but I didn't feel that they had any real chemistry. It was almost as if she wrote this really good suspenseful story and then decided it would need some romance at the end.
