Did anyone hear the author said she will write a sequel to East!

She said it takes place 9 years after the events of East I can't believe it!

What would the sequel be about? Obviously it would continue the story and all that.

This was one of my many favorite books as a younger reader. I even have my own copy! (My copy is also called North Child, which I think makes much more sense than simply East.)

I would love a sequel to this book! I've read it so many times. After reading this book, I began doodling compass roses constantly.
East is my favorite book of all time, so I'm THRILLED to hear about this sequel.
