What are your thoughts on this book? Some things to consider: The novel presents many kinds of parents—present and absent, supportive and reluctant. What questions does the novel raise about the challenges and real meaning of being a parent? Before reading TheLowland, were you aware of the Naxalite movement?

I appreciate the way lahiri adding some historical element in her latest novel, but, I wonder, is this novel a kind of postcolonial literature or not? i have to know the answer due to my assignment related with postcolonial literature.. thanks
