The Revenge of Seven discussion

Does anyone have any ideas on why its called "The Revenge of Seven"? I know it talked about Marinas feelings a lot but.. I'm not sure I quite figured it out.

I was thinking that the ENTIRE time... ugh, where's my revenge? There wasn't even anything from Marina's POV! Maybe it's the revenge of finding the sanctuary and giving the garde a fighting chance, and she's all 'holier than thou' and being the bigger person and blah blah blah but seriously! I see REVENGE in the title and I think there's some battles coming my way. The book was a lot of build up. Seems like even though a LOT happened, nothing really happened. If that makes any sense.

Is it weird that I'm hoping for an eventual romance between Nine and Ella? Please tell me I'm not alone on this one!

that's what i thought too. I mean yes eight died but Marina didn't really do something "huge" to get revenge over his death. I wish she'd done something.

I don't think the title meant Marina. I think it meant the remaining seven protagonists with Legacies (Adam, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Nine, Ella) playing a part in attempting to thwart Setrakus Ra.

Nope you're not alone! Nine and Ella is fine with me :D and yes where is our revenge - she was just all snooty and irresponsible. Poor Six.

I think they did mean Marina's revenge. Sometimes revenge is best played out behind the scenes, and needs to be subtle. She was certain through out the whole book that they needed Eight's body. And she was determined to go to the mountain - which then opens...spoiler

the mountain up, and releases power for all humans. I'd say that's getting revenge, we just haven't seen the results because of it yet. It was because of Seven that all humans will be able to fight now.

The idea that it is the remaining people fighting almost made sense, except number four forgot Sam!!!! And his dad! Even if they don't have legacies, they have been extremely important throughout the series.

I dont know but I think because marina wants revenge because of eight but I dont know forsure

maybe Seven isn't referring to MARINA? maybe it was referring to 7 garde? four-six-seven-nine-ten(ella)-adam(one)-five(since it is most likely that five has set his mind on helping his kind? I don't know. I just don't think Marina is kind of revengeful in this book.

Because that bastard, Five, killed Eight in The Fall of Five. And Marina, is somehow like Eight's girlfriend, they were building this relationship thingy before he died. But when I read the book, Marina wasn't as revengeful as I thought she'd be, instead she was kinda emo and being pissed at nine. But I still think it's because of Marina.

No Marina POV though. It wasn't entirely a revenge, was it? She only wanted to retrieve Eight's body. It would've fitted better if the book's title was something about Ten/Ella.

I think that's what the sixth book's title will be.

It's obviously because five killed eight, which seven had feelings for. She gets her revenge back in this book, or at least starts it.

I think Pittacus messed up the titles lol. This book should be called the fall of five because (spoiler coming) Five Fell literally from outer space and The Fall Of Five should be called The revenge of Seven because Seven beat the eye out of Five. LOL

Can someone tell me why the Mogs did not intervene when Setrekus Ra was fighting Four and Nine at the end?

Because Ra probably wanted to rip their throats out himself.
