I will just copy the Goodreads review I listed - it pretty much says it all!
This book is all about the different and interesting characters in Savannah. If, after reading this you don't want to go to Georgia and meet them, I would be surprised.
I really enjoyed it!

Yeah, I don't know. The book was ok. Seemed to drag a bit until it finally got to the court case. Sure did enjoy Chablis though!!! Might have liked more Joe Odem too!
I finally had time to finish reading this.It was a very personal trip into the heart of Savannah with its unusual culture and colorful people.
Ha! Well, I did enjoy this, but I can understand why it could be a battle for some. I can say that while I did rate this high, it was not really one I was looking forward to getting back to between readings.
oh, damn. Just straight up didn't like it. There were definitely parts of it that were hard to read. Well parts, maybe half of it.
I talked to one other member of the club who doesn't usually do the group discussions and she loved it! :)
All that being said, I definitely see why some people didn't like this one, though. And, as I said previously, I was not necessarily so drawn in that I couldn't wait to get back to it each day, but in the end I did like it quite a bit (NOTE: So far, from the book club choices, the only one I did not like at all was The Ocean at the End of the Lane. That one was our shortest, but it felt like it went on forever!)
