This morning on Weekend Edition Sunday, they featured a book written by the singer/songwriter John Darnielle (of the Mountain Goats): Wolf in White Van. Listen her for the interview: http://www.npr.org/2014/09/14/3479956...

Just found this thread - I hope you can help me Kirsten since you listen to NPR too. a while back, probably a year or more ago, I listened to a female author reading from her novel, and never got either her name or the name of the book. It sounded like a good one, though and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I've searched through the npr archives to no avail. The section she was reading was about a woman who was searching for her brother. She had found where he lived, apparently he was a surfer without much else going on. He was living in a trailer. Gosh its' been so long I can't remember much more. I just know it sounded really good. Any clue? Thanks!
