So, just say a little about you. This page is meant for talking and getting to know each other.

Hello. My name is Emma. I am 18 years old. I am a freshman in college. I love books and reading. I don’t always have time for reading but I am starting to try and force more time for it into my busy schedule. I also wanted to start book blogging because I have heard a lot about it lately and I wanted to combine some of my favorite things together (social media and reading). Not only that and the main character in the Lux series (by Jennifer L. Armentrout), Katy, also book blogs. So, I was like woah she is cool I want to do that. Well, now I am and I really hope I get a lot of readers and people enjoy it as much as I do.

My absolute favorite series is the Harry Potter Series. I have loved that series since I was a kid and it is my favorite series ever. I love a lot of different series tho. A few other series I am obsessed with is the Percy Jackson series, the Divergent series, and the Lux series. I basically get obsessed over every book I read but these are some of my top favorites.

Some other basic things about me. . . I have a dog. Her name is Miley. (I got her in the 5th grade and Hannah Montana was all the rage. Don't judge.) My favorite color is purple, or blue it goes back and forth. I love shopping and have a obsession with shoes, high heels and cowboy boots mostly. Other obsessions I have are hot guys (but who doesn't) and also Captain America. My room theme is a good combination of books and Captain America. I love Chris Evans as Cap and I also love the comics.

Well, I really don't know what you would like to know about me. So, I will just leave it to that. If you want to know more let me know.

Hi! I just saw this while browsing the groups here, and decided to join! I just started a blog a couple of weeks ago and I love getting know others and making friends!

I'm Brittnee. I'm 22 years old. I live in the panhandle of Florida with my husband and our cat, Blair, who is evil. I've always loved reading, ever since I was a kid, and it's just something that never left me. I have taken a break about the last year and a half or so, so I'm quite behind on a lot of the most popular books right now, but I'm catching up! I decided to start a blog for a few reasons, one being so I have a hobby and won't be bored all of the time lol. And another, because like I said above, I love making friends and discussing books with others who love them just as much as I do!

Harry Potter is my favorite series, as well. I'm such a fan girl of Ron Weasley. My all time favorite book, besides HP, is To Kill a Mockingbird. I don't really have a favorite genre... I like to read just about anything.

Hi everybody! I started a blog a few weeks back and was just surfing the web when I found this group.

My name's Alma. I am a junior blogger (12 yrs old). I live in Texas, but am originally from Indonesia. I moved from Indonesia two years ago and started reading last year, but quickly climbed to the YA section of the library.

I decided to make a blog because I really like watching booktube, but don't have the confidence (and equipments) to make an actual channel. I also really enjoy talking about books, and since none in my family particularly like reading I thought: hey! why not talk to other people in the internet!

My favorite series YA series is The Infernal Devices, because that was what introduced me to YA in the first place. My favorite middle-grade series is the Percy Jackson series, because they were the first books I was obsessed in. My favorite on-going series is currently the Throne of Glass series & The Lunar Chronicles. My most anticipated book right now is The Blood of Olympus.

Some random things about me: I am a big cat person, I love music as much as reading, I read fanfictions, and I'm obsessed with quotes. You know, the normal stuff :P

Hey guys, I'm Ivy. I'm 20 years old and about to go back to college and switch my major over to English with an emphasis in creative writing. I'm hoping to become either an author or go into publishing. I make up one half of a BookTube channel I recently started with my friend Anna called IvAnReads.

My favorite series is also Harry Potter. It was my childhood and can't be beat. But I also love Percy Jackson, the Lunar Chronicle (even though I'm not done with it,) TFIOS, Sherlock Holmes, and too many more to mention. I have too many favorite authors to chose from, but the list includes John Green, Stephanie Perkins, Rick Riordan, A. G. Howard, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. YA is definitely my favorite genre and what I eventually want to write in.

Random facts:
I have a dog named Kailey, nine tattoos, spray paint my bookshelves, and a strange obsession with phone cases.

I'm really excited about this group and I can't wait to get to know you guys more!

Hey guys, I'm Julia. :) I've been on Goodreads for a really long time, but have only recently dived into the book blogging community. I'm really looking forward to expanding it more and getting to know a bunch of new - and book lovin'!- people.

I'm finishing up my BA in Literature and am going to start my MBA in Summer '15 (eeek!). My dream is to go into Publishing and work on the Marketing side of it so I can sell some pretty awesome books!

I love YA, but have recently been trying to branch out more. I've set a goal for next year to read books by different authors each month. So, for example:

1. Dead white men
2. Hispanic women
3. Lesbian writers
4. Asian women
5. Black men

etc. etc. I'm really excited because I think this kind of diversity in reading is what really opens the mind. :)

My favorite series growing up was Harry Potter, of course! That series holds such a happy place in my heart. I also loved Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices. Oh my gosh, if I did not cry like a baby at that ending! Ack! The feels!

Hi, my name is Ashley and I
m 25. I currently live in Southern California with my fiance. As a kid/teenager I read constantly but as I got older and started working, etc I kind of fell out of the habit. This past year I've really gotten back into it. I've read more books in the last 6 months than I've read in the last 5 years!! ha. I love the Harry Potter Series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Maze Runner, Hunger Games, and many many more. I don't only read YA, for example I just finished Gone Girl, but it definitely is my favorite.

I have a personal blog where I recently started posting about books. I'm very excited to join this group and hopefully meet some cool people who read the same type of books I do. :)

Hi!! My name is Maria. I'm actually a lot younger than a lot (if not all) of you. I'm 14 turning 15 in 4 months. My secret base (A.K.A my home) is in Michigan. I haven't grown out of reading (and pray I never will) and have been reading/writing since I was 3. I read anything I find in my house, but mostly YA books. My favorites are Vampire Academy series, Mara Dyer series, Anna and the French Kiss series, If I Stay series, The Darkest Minds, PJO/HOO, The Infernal Devices, Legend, Splintered, the Lunar Chronicles, *stares at list*...yeah, that plus A LOT more.

I started a book blog in the summer because I pretty much had nothing to do and actually enjoy it. Well, I need to write A LOT more reviews though.

That is so awesome! My family and I actually own 13 horses and I occasionally give riding lessons, so I know what you mean about how wonderful it is.

Yes, I'm trying to finish the one I'm writing now because I love the way it's going. I plan on going back and revising the old one and possibly publishing them both. :)

I reside in Kansas after moving here from Latvia as a child, am studying theatrical production and art in college right now, am 19 years old, and reading has inspired a lot of my art work as well as life in general. It only seems appropriate to try and share that passion as much as possible. :) Some of my favourite books include the Harry Potter series, the Inkheart series, and anything by Haruki Murakami or Edgar Allen Poe.

A few facty-facts: Much of my artwork has become tattoos on myself or others, I'm an avid comic convention goer, and am known for my hair color changing drastically on at least a semi-monthly basis.

Hi everyone. I'm Trisha. I'm a married, a mom to two teens, a crazy cat lady, and an avid reader. I live in the panhandle of Florida and would be really interested in connecting with other booktubers/bloggers in the area.

I've been blogging for ten years and my blog has always included posts about books and reading, but it was more of a personal-type blog than an actually book blog. So, after all that time, I bit the bullet and made a blog dedicated solely to reading, books, reviews, news, and the occasional post about libraries and publishing because I'm also an MLIS student. Book blogging is going pretty good so far. I've thought about expanding into the booktube world because there are so many booktube channels that I enjoy watching, but I'm really camera shy so I need to think about it longer.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and finding new blogs to read and booktubes to watch. :)

Can't wait to check out your blog! I'm thinking about starting a blog, now I just do booktube, but a blog would be fun. You should definitely consider doing a booktube. You get over some of the awkwardness and shyness after a while! :)

Thanks Courtney. I think it would be super easy to integrate blogging with booktubing and vice versa. Plus, mixing it up would help to keep away the burnout of doing either too much/often.

So, today I was on youtube and I saw a tun of video's of people talking about NaNoWriMo. (If you don't know what it is go here: http://nanowrimo.org/ )
I didn't know what it was so I looked. I found out it was where people basically write a 50,000 word novel in a month. Anyways. I am no writer. Heck I probably wont even be able to do it, and I may quit after a week since I am horrible at writing. But hey I like to try new things so I thought I would try this. I don't know about the software. I have a Macbook pro. So I don't know much about your computer and such. For my videos I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ70 and imovie. But I do know that I used my webcam for a while to film videos when I first started my channel. What I am getting at was the quality was kind of poor. The image was flipped. Like when I held up the book and the title was backwards and that made the video's in my opinion awkward to watch. Also like I said I have a Macbook Pro. It's the one with the retina display. When I used my webcam the video quality was poor and it was fuzzy. No one wants to watch a fuzzy video. I mean my iphone 5s has better quality when it came to video making. There are really cheep cameras that make good quality videos too. But if you get a webcam for your computer just make sure it's maybe a higher end one so it's not fuzzy. I have noticed with my youtube channel I have less views on my fuzzy videos.

Hi everyone! My name is Sam. I'm a 23 year old aspiring author and bibliophile from Virginia. I've neglected reading a lot since college, but for 2015, I've made a commitment to myself to get back to it. And to help myself both keep accountable and connect with other book lovers, I started a book/writing channel on YouTube.

Let's see...my preferred genres tend to be darker, such as horror, thriller, and suspense. But my all-time favorite book is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. I also really love the Harry Potter and Hunger Games series, the Nancy Drew series, and about half of Stephen King's lineup.

Other things about me...I'm currently working on a few novels, though the main project is fantasy. I studied Film in college before changing my mind and getting a degree in Religion & Philosophy instead. I currently live with my partner and we have a very old beagle/dachshund-ish dog named Cheyenne. I'm a huge gamer - I love puzzle games and games with good stories.

I'm 24, recently graduated from graduate school in the UK and moved home to North Carolina. I'm an aspiring author who writes primarily young adult adventure novels (fantasy and contemporary). I also write screenplays from time to time.

I love any well told story, especially if the characters are inspiring! Mark Twain is my favorite author and the Lord of the Rings is my favorite story. I love books with inspiring characters and I'm a sucker for a good bromance.
