Of course, everyone's going to come here and look at the juicy, juicy news the mods are discussing... But, of course, all the SERIOUS matters are discussed by Lee and I through PM.

Hey, Lee, do you think we might want writing contests?? They were sort of a fail in WYHO, but... maybe we'll give it a try here and if it fails (again...) we'll delete the threads or put them in the archives???

I'll stop making things/threads/folders here. I kinda of want to see how you like things so far :D

So I just made a mental list of things we need to add

-Profile pic
-Masthead pic
-Description
-RULES THE RULES -___-
-Writing contests??
-Writing advice corner??

OH: We also need to think of how we're going to let people share their stories... Do you want to do it like how they did in WHYO or let the members make a thread for their separate stories, etc.

I think that maybe we could do a mix of both...? if someone is planning or is currently writing a long story or fan fiction etc. and wants to post chapter-by-chapter then I think it would be cool to have their own thread for that, but for like poetry and short stories should just be under a "Lee's Poetry" thread type-thing (if you know what I mean)
becauause i noticed it was hard to read stories when it was like ch 1 then poem, poem, short story, ch2 and so doing that would prevent it from being broken up

I like the writing advice corner. maybe call it "critiquing corner" and people could go there and ask for people to visit their page or find someone to PM about their work or to just post there and have people comment on what they liked about it and try to help improve the writer.

writing contests? uh YES! that was totally fun! They really didn't fail, it was just that the mods really didn't focus too much on it, and the group was already dying. Contests are great for bringing people together. Thats how I found a lot of good works on there.

I want sort of like an advice corner where people can ask for tips on writing or title suggestions etc.

Hmm - I think I was the only mod that was focusing on the writing contests, but I think I just got frustrated because only 2-3 people participated... and I didn't want do the "1st, 2nd, 3rd" thing, because only three people participated and I felt like that was sort of mean LOL

Maybe, the folder for the advice can be called Critiquing Corner, and there'll be threads under it for title suggestions and stuff?? And there's going to be one main thread under that folder for people looking for reviewers??? I'll go ahead and do that anyways 'cause I feel like you're going to approve anyway XD

I have 10 poems I need to post.
One of them is actually a WIP that has reached 6 pages in progress so far.
Soooooo we should finish making this group and start inviting people ;D
