Aaron (aarons_books) | 3 comments Hey guys, I recently started writing a short story collection and wanted to try posting it on Wattpad. Has anyone else used it? Thoughts?

I truly love wattpad, but I haven't used it in years! I think that is an amazing place to start getting your writing publicized. I used to write Lunar Chronicles (Marissa Meyer) fanfic on it in middle school. I'd update it once or twice a week and before I knew it, I had thousands of people reading what I was writing.

I have been thinking about getting back onto Wattpad to get feedback on the novel I am currently writing!

Good luck on your short story collection!!

♦♣ queen of faerie ♠♥ (queenoffaerie) I read your story and I like it!
It’s really unique and I love the setting of it, it’s not usually what I read but I’m always trying to try new stuff.
I don’t know if I want to try Wattpad. It would be really nice to get my stories out there but I don’t know if I’m brave enough to post anything 😕

Holley | 2 comments I'm wary about posting on wattpad. Some lit mags won't accept submissions if they have been published anywhere on the web (including personal blogs). That makes me wonder if wattpad counts, too.

Diana | 1 comments I'm getting a writer's virtual roundtable going where each author submits a short work (short story or a chapter or something) and the group reads it and gets together for a weekly video-chat-style roundtable to provide feedback/support/etc...

It's a smaller thing, and may be suitable for people who are not quite ready to publish on wattpad or are still honing/polishing/tinkering with their material and need ongoing feedback.

You can join the goodreads group here:

All genres are welcome.

Rossana Eliz | 3 comments Hi, I'm new, I'm working on my story on Wattpad, I would appreciate your feedback.
https://www.wattpad.com/1330463114-th...

When you see a person act outside of what you consider normal, do you judge, criticize or help them? How is an adult who grew up in the middle of a world not conditioned for her? How does bullying affect adulthood? In the midst of anxiety and inability to connect: Eliz imagines!, creating a fantasy that borders on a parallel world where she has everything that in her real life she is not able to achieve, a life that has hit her and left her with doubts about neurodiversity, depression and most of all loneliness due to her introversion.

When reality lacks understanding, empathy, respect and equal opportunity for someone who processes, thinks and expresses herself differently, Eliz struggles every day to get out of bed and give herself a chance. Clinging to her "antidotes" as she calls them: a furry named sky, music, chocolate and netflix and chill.
Without a support system around her, nor knowing how to ask for help, she uses all the stories she sees on the screens as a compass in her life and hoping to get the same result.because if it works on tv why not for her? What she cannot communicate with words in her mind is manifested with analogies of TV characters or a song. She wonders every day if there is a place for her, seeing life through the eyes of a mother who was left to raise her alone and a sister who seems to be taken of from the pages of a fashion magazine. A friend who is more of a friend when both are doing badly. A job she got due to dropping out of college. .A boss she doesn't know how to talk to because she "thinks" she's interested in him. Add being monosyllabic and withdrawn.

Come in and take a look at the mess that is in her head, hidden behind a desk answering phones, Eliz is repetitive, uncoordinated, anxious, full of insecurities, she is afraid of her shadow, kind of crazy but with a good heart. Are you ready to see the world through her eyes?

alise “It's weird to think about, how, since the day you're born, you're meant to find that other half of your heart, your life, that will complete you in ways you couldn't. Almost, like it's written in the stars.” - The Night We Met.
hey, babes!
I just started writing a story between two characters with flaws and a feeling they’re incomplete. they find each other in a restaurant, and, as time passes by, they realise that they both complete one another. but, their work has placed a big border for their love. will they put their careers at risk to face and overcome the border?
