Yay! This book has been on my TBR for long time, and it's the only Rainbow Rowell book I haven't read yet.
Awesome! Do we want to have a continual stream of updates or pick a day in the week to share thoughts and such?
I think we should do a day in the week. That way everyone will be on the same page and not have spoilers when reading the comments
I'll definitely be joining! I just need to finish my 9 books from the library first. This may be hard. And I agree. Definitely once a week. Spoilers would be bad.
Sorry for not getting to this a bit earlier but I definitely agree with everyone else. A day of the week so spoilers are less likely to be fallen upon.
Awesome! Then how about Friday we come back together to discuss...any set of chapters we want to get through in that time (that way everyone is on the same page)
I agree. I have the e book so idk if pages should be the way to go may be we should do chapters.Fridays work for me =)
I'm loving it as well! I'm really glad I finally picked it up :) What are your thoughts on the characters?
I love Eleanor.Probably more than I like Park. I love their bus comic book relationship. I really like the families so far. Except Richie. And I love the Romeo and Juliet conversation they have in English, because Romeo and Juliet is way too instalovey and I don't find it believable that they killed themselves for each other after only 1 day of knowing each other.
I am speed reading right now last night I had an event with my family.....stay tune for my view on the characters =)
Hahaha without even seeing this I decided to start reading Eleanor and Park today. Happy I saw this cause now I have some buddies to read along with haha!
I am hooked on this book already! I love how the author is growing their relationship but in a really unique way. I can't wait to get to know more about Eleanor and Parks Family- especially Eleanors!
Mya Carinha wrote: "I'm sorry, I don't know what a buddy read is. How do you do it?"A buddy read is when people read a book together (usually two people or a small group of people) and then discuss the book :) Buddy reads normally only take a couple days!

I adored the Romeo and Juliet section XD I think that play is the definition of instalove! While I'm not the biggest fan of the play I enjoy hearing other peoples (even fictional characters) views on it :)
Hi all would we like to read the next 10 chapters for next Wednesday or Thursday? Or would we like to stick to Fridays for discussing the chapters?
I'd prefer sticking to Fridays. Mostly because I know if I fall behind on reading, I can speed read it on Friday without worrying about homework due the next day.
I also prefer Fridays since I have a very busy week, so if I fall behind on reading I can compensate on Fridays.
Since it's Friday, or at least it was 5 minutes ago for me, I'll speak about my thoughts. Eleanor said something about something that I really agreed with, but I can't think of it right now. I officially ship Eleanor and Park at an OTP level now. Especially after the Walkman situation. I finished my 10 chapters 2 days ago, so I can't really remember the exact details of the chapter. I really liked their conversation over the phone I just really liked that scene in general. However nothing beats the bus scenes. Those are the best, because they're so cute together. But now I'm theorizing about the ending since everyone says the ending isn't an ending and I'm slightly worried. Especially since the prologue makes it sound like she died or moved away.
