Throne Room
Gabriel had managed to sleep through another day and was lucky for Kayne saving his life. Gabriel still didn't trust the wolf, but when he woke up it wasn't there in his room anymore. Gabriel got dressed in what clothes were provided to him. Black clothes with red lining covered him with a small half cape. He walked out and wondered the corridors. It was strange for himw laking a foriegn castle with unfamiliar scents and an eerie chill. he felt so child-like as he explored at last finding two silver doors that opened inot a grand hall with many seats most likely a throne room, but it was empty and it seemed to lack any form of air.
Valentine was intrigued by the prince and his power, having thought that doing a little internal research would do some good as to further understand the transfer of power. He was currently reading up on the Royal Immortal, very interesting facts as he took a leisurely stroll. It explained quite a lot. He wanted to lash out, he wanted to shed blood, he desired to hear screaming. Lycan's were no fun. He snapped his book shut when he heard some rats skittering about out in the throne room. Having entered a secret passage he melted out of the shadows, revealing himself to Gabriel. "Exploring are we, young prince?" He asked.
Gabriel jumped slightly and pulled his sleeve down over the bite marks of the snake Lycan. "I'm just getting to know my surroundings given I may be here for a while." he says nervously. "What about you, Sir, Valentine?" He asks shaking a bit in his presence but trying so hard to seem princely.
Valentine's eyes sparked with amusement at the skittish way the princeling jumped at such simple words. He loved it. "Your surroundings?" He wondered. "A good idea, but this is not a place for someone such as yourself to just go wondering around in. The walls talk and so far you are of interest, I'd suggest you stay within your room unless escorted. We wouldn't want you to get hurt now, would we." He mused, lifting his book. "Just doing some light reading, nothing of importance." He took a couple of steps closer. "I should escort you back, for safeties sake, unless you know your own way back?"
Gabriel looked at Valentine awkwardly, "Um, right...light reading. I can handle, myself, but apparently someone has already asked me dead I was attacked by a Lycan that turns into a snake...it was quickly dealt with by Kayne...a wolf lycan." He looks around for a moment, "If I am only here to be left in my room without an escort to go where I desire what am I in Xuin for?" He asks coldly. He was no longer feeling scared the guy simply had only a book which made him appear less intimidating.
Valentine raised a brow at this fact, though he wasn't surprised, he had sent for the master of the snake and ordered him to do an assassination upon the prince. "Oh dear, terrible news..." He wasn't fond of that mutt, he kept getting in his way and when he had an opportunity he was ringing that mutts neck as it should have been so long ago. "But we still have you here with us, at least one of our guards was doing there jobs." A piece of parchment shot out of the book, resting at the princes throat like a knife. "You are here for the Dominus's amusement, unless he states otherwise, you are useful to us, so be a good boy and do as you are told." He pointed out, the paper reversed and slipped back into the pages of the book like nothing had happened.
Gabriel felt a chilly cold sweat drip from his brow. In truth e was unable to find his way back, but this was the last man on earth he would ever desire as an escort. "So it was you. You sent a Lycan to kill me and failed because Markus knew someone would. Congratulations you failed your first attempt! If Markus loses interest in me then you will be ale to kill me until then you can't touch me under his orders." Gabriel was pushing his luck, but he had to get someone off of his back here. "Go on Valentine do as you are told and listen to your master. I am a prince of vada I do not have any ruling here, but clearly I am given plenty of protection from the likes of you." He says turning his back to the Arbiter.
Valentine smirked at the fear that spiked the room. The boy was easy and he hadn't even started. "No his highness doesn't think someone would disobey him because of fear. It was a coincidence one of our guards came upon you, most know of your presence but not of where you are." He told the boy, his eyes almost shifting to a bottomless pit of black. "Don't turn your back on a vampire boy." He chuckled, smelling the sweet scent of blood. A paper cut was enough for a ring of red to wrap around the boys throat, tightening at every breath. "Foolish princeling, you are never safe, not even from Markus himself." He told him. "You have no allies here, you are disposable. You will die, I will not. Markus does not care for your pathetic being. He simply wants to control you." He grinned. "Dance princeling dance."
Gabriel rubbed his neck seeing the blood on his fingertips only to feel something odd as it sealed up as it would with any Immortal. "I will neither be puppet to you nor Markus I am my own being and if I so choose to leave I shall with all those who have been enslaved by your kind. I will see Xuin crumble and I will never serve under any of you Vampires." His fist clinches tightly and his jawline set hard as he tries to hold back his powers only thinking of Annabelle. "Stay away from my Arbiter and I will not have to do something that will not be regretted." He says as an air of frost seemed to surround his fist.
Valentine watched the boy inspect the blood like it was nothing, but of course the blood circled his neck like a collar, tightening and choking him as punishment for defying words. He took a step and in a blur was standing in front of Gabriel, eyes bottomless and chilling. He was purposely antagonising the prince. He wanted to see for himself what the boy was capable of and to what extent. He couldn't die by some filthy half bloods hands. "Try me, princeling." He purred in his ear, awaiting a strike against him. "Didn't you think you might be subjected to the ritual, hell you might even get turned into one his mutts. He doesn't need you to bow willingly. He can make you."
Gabriel could no longer control the cold within. The temperature int he room dropped significantly. His eyes turned into a frozen glaze of blue as solid ice worked up his fingers and arms. "Stay out of my way Valentine. I am not afraid of you and I will not succumb to any transformations. I will kill you where you stand." he says lashing outward and pressing hsi hand hard agaisnt Valentine's chest as ice works outward.
Valentine could feel it, not that it bothered him, the sweet bite of cold. He wanted this, he wanted to inspect and dissect the boy. He watched the worm closely as he shifted from one medium to another, almost glistening in the moonlight. He looked a little wide eyed at the sudden strike but not long after he melted into a look of insanity, teeth bared as he grinned from ear to ear. Now this was what he wanted. He had made a telekinetic shield that halted an inch from his body, holding the spreading frost in place, allowing him to watch the extent of damage the prince had wished to inflict upon him. "Not fast enough boy." He flicked his finger very nonchalantly and the boy went flying at high speed towards a solid brick wall, but slammed to a halt just a millimetre shy, but giving him descent enough whiplash that the boy would have gotten the idea of imminent death. He was not skilled nor wise to battle was the princeling.
Gabriel grits his teeth in sudden shock and pain. He seemed to radiate with power as it seemed ice was forming from the wall and ceiling and floor sliding up in sharp spirals to him. He had never felt nearly as powerful in his life than what he felt int he cold mountains of Xuin. He was in his element just by being there. He yells out as the ice spirals scatter into shards flying directly at the Arbiter.
Valentine flicked his hand up, stopping the shards short of their intended target. He tapped the shard closest to him and it burst into into hail, harmlessly dropping to the floor. Eyeing the boy he grinned manically as the shards flew fast and furious towards his body. They thudded into the marble wall, encasing the boy in his own ice, just nicking his body. He wasn't going to kill the boy, not just yet anyway, he wanted to see more, see how far he would go. "You know your little friend from earlier looked rather delectable, maybe I'll have her turn you over to us instead of Markus himself." He chuckled demonically.
Gabriel glared, "Leave Annabelle out of this. IT is my fight to be won or lsot not hers." He says his eyes turning pure white. he broke free of Valentine's own telekinetic grasp and the ice around him began to swirl. Storm clouds begna to gather within the hall and winds began to push through the hall in an icey cyclone. He was creating a blizzard int eh throne room. The walls and floor seemed to turn itno solid ice all around. Gabriel was glowing with a light aura and his eyes began to become pure light as well. He was hovering toward Valentine as pieces of stone were picked up into the swirling blizzard as ice engulfed the room like a plague of locust.
Valentine chuckled deeply. "Are you sure about that?" He asked, wondering how much he knew Annabelle had been subjected to. "I'm sure she is fighting right now." He smirked, watching with fascination as the boy went to a higher level of magic and kept going. He wondered if the boy had a limit and whether he knew about it. He was willing to bet this was the first time he'd caused this much chaos and power. The boy was bound to run out or pass out at some point. He didn't bother to retaliate because he knew he wouldn't have to. "She is a slave, a servant. Come now, you claim to want to protect her but what are you doing right now?" He wondered. "I'm sure she'll make a nice pet." He kept goading the boy to see how far he'd push himself.
Gabriel screams out in rage and suddenly it seemed as if his oulw as on an unearthly plain. The ice began to build up in large quantities sharpening as they began to spin through the hall. In a sharp burst of light and ice Gabriel at last reached his limit. The entire ceiling covered in ice began to crack and collapse just as Gabriel fell to the floor so did all the ice making an indoor avalanche form above. It was going to crush both him and Valentine.
Valentine waited calmly, lazily dodging a few icicles coming his way. He slipped his hands into his pockets watched as the boy over did it and collapsed, seeing how much destruction he left in his wake. "Stupid princeling." He muttered, doming himself in a telekinetic shield. In a blur he was by the boy, shielding him from his own death trap. Tucking his foot under the boy he threw him up, catching him by his shoulders. The door of the throne room was flung open and basically he threw Gabriel out the door to go rolling along the floors of the hall. As a large crash echoed behind him he left the room, slamming the door shut. Crouching by the boys form a piece of paper slipped out of his book, grabbing it to write a small note for the boy. Useless. Was left for the boy to read as Valentine walked away satisfied. Now to show the evidence to Markus and see what unfolded.
{END SCENE}
[Markus, Kayne, and Valentien enter a few hours later.]
Markus followed Valentine into the Throne room after he conversated with Kayne. He still suspected that Kayne wasn't telling him something. As they entered the throne room Markus was expecting to see some horrible force of nature having taken place in the room, but there was simply nothing, but water dripping from the ceiling into small random puddles on the floor which was not unusual given inside was warmer than outside which could cause frost to melt inside. Markus looked around seeing no true evidence of disaster. "Tell me, Valentine, what significant force of nature has the boy conjured other than the fact he worsened a leak?" Markus was clearly unamused by this and it made him feel foolish to think that he could trust Valentine with keeping up with the boy. "If this is your idea of a prank I am unamused. I see nothing here and if you have another means of proving the boy over exhausted his powers or even considered attacking you then please grant me with such evidence." He says coldly. "Otherwise you're wasting my time and I now lay the boys well being during his stay with us in the hands of my most loyal lycan, Kayne." He looks at his lycan..."You are trusted with keeping Gabriel safe and assisting him in keeping his abilities in check. Should anything go wrong I shall see you both in the dungeons, is that understood, Kayne?" He asks his eyes turning red with hunger. He had to feed he was going to be weak if he did not.

Valentine walked in seeing nothing but water and remnants of vastly melting ice. Gritting his teeth in anger he realised that because the boy was no longer in the vicinity nor conscious the ice had melted faster than it normally would have. He knew because he could feel the density of the boys magic, it was not normal ice. Considering the avalanche the boy had caused he was surprised himself it had disappeared so fast. The throne room should have looked like peeks of a mountain. "Your highness the boy conjured up ice to fill half the room, nearly killing himself in the process. But it's gone I suspect due to his in conscious state of stress." He couldn't do or say much more to convince. "I apologies your highness, but I do suggest if you want to see for yourself, spark a strike within him." Kayne felt sick to his stomach having been given so much responsibility and against Valentines wishes. He knew there would be sabotage from all corners of the castle. Kayne bowed. "Y-Your majesty." He murmured, feeling a little shaky. Valentine bowed and in a flurry left in a angered blaze. Kayne felt the heat of that fury, his blood almost chilling. "I shall go off to see the prince now." He told Markus, bowing before shifting and padding off, tail dipped between his legs.{End of Scene}
Markus sat on his throne rubbing his temples as he began to ponder on which group to summon forth to the Witch kingdom first. He had so much rushing through his mind and battle strategy was all he was needing to focus on right now. He gripped the blade strapped to his throne. He began rubbing it's hilt subconsciously. The storm blade never left his sight of knowledge. He always knew where it was, but it was so charged against him that he could use no magic upon it and therefore it is only useful during a plain fight. Heis power is subdued by it's touch and should it pierce him he will surely die.
Curious for information and not liking to rely on the shattered remnants of direct facts, Irina had went in search of her father once she had left the library. A servant in the halls had informed her that Markus had been seen entering the throne room and bowed before rushing away. It seemed as though everyone was on edge. Maybe something more had happened that she was unaware of. Not wanting to leave her mind to produce conjecture, she entered the throne room and knelt before her father respectfully. "My Lord," she said and waited for him to tell her to rise. Though she didn't always see eye to eye with the man in front of her, he was still her Lord, as well as her father. Besides, being disrespectful and acting out of place would most likely end with her in the execution chamber. That was something she hoped with a passion would never occur.
((sure...Note that two others will be arriving soon also.))
Markus allowed the corner of his lips to crease for a moment in a small smirk, "Rise my daughter...what is it that I can assist you with?" He asked with a harsh and cold glint in his eyes. His beloved Severity was else where safe from harm and Valentine was doing whatever it was Valentine did. "I sense a disturbance in my kingdom and I hope you are being safe and on guard, my dear." Markus said already having realized that the Lycans have been released from their servitude to their masters and very few remained loyal. "Irina, you act troubled...what is it that bothers you my daughter?" Markus asked in hopes she would not raise question to his judgement upon her brother which no doubt she has been informed of or heard whispers of.

Rising at his request, she kept her hands folded in front of her body as she spoke. "Indeed, my Lord. As you have taught me I am being very careful about maintaining my guard and keeping my defenses high." Hiding her surprise at his almost considerate words about her well being, she didn't dwell on them and moved onto why she had come to see him. "Father, I am hear to inquire about what Jakub has done to wrong our kingdom and our family. I am not hear to voice my dissent over whatever punishment he received, for I know whatever you deemed he suffer to be the right call. I come to you to ask for the information first hand as the whispers among the kingdoms residents will always be distorted from the truth."
Markus nods and frowns. He wasn't proud of the fact that he had sentenced his own son to banishment, and then death, but it enraged him even more that Jakub ran and killed Markus' hunters who were sent to kill him. "Yes, well...We have succeeded in making a trade of lives as your mother was killed in recent events by an assassin of the Witch kingdom I set a plan to kill one of the daughters of the Kralitsa. As it so happens we caught the actual heir to the throne. She would have been dead had it not in fact been the love of my past life as a Witch. Severity Fujioka, was in fact Jakub's true mother. Your mother may have given birth to him, but it was not her blood coming out of her womb." Markus admitted holding no shame clearly. "Jakub discovered such a fact and placed me under the eye of Sol with one of Sol's crystals. As it so happens he was also the one who freed me. Severity was sent to rest and Jakub was banished. Then I sent my hunters to dispose of him from the face of this world. I expect that now my only true heir who can be considered is you my dear. Valentine and Amelia were also present during our little charade, but no one was entirely harmed.
((Can Amelia enter soon after that?))
Kayne had closed the secret passage and had stood there for a long moment before turning to find he was cornered. He took the first one down who was by himself and took off whilst the others followed. It didn't take long to lose the other three and by then he was already by the throne room. He had picked up his masters scent and wondered if Markus already knew of the inner rebellion happening under his nose. He knocked on the double doors and came in noticing the Dominus daughter. He quickly knelt. "Pardon me master. Its just I came with news I thought you needed to know. I will come back later if you wish."
Markus held a hand up to pardon Kayne, "You may enter. It is nice to know that my trusted Lycan is by my side during troubling times as this." He said with a kind smile pointing to his left side where Kayne could sit. "My daughter was simply discussing the matters that took place within the execution chambers." Markus smiled kindly.
Nodding politely at his words, she hesitated slightly and wondered if she should voice her thoughts. She didn't want to be seen having doubt in her father because that certainly wasn't the case. However, she did think that having proof of her brothers death would be the best thing to ease any remaining troubles caused by him. It would also give her a large amount of satisfaction to see that the murderer had indeed been murdered himself. "You say that I am the only true heir. That is to say that the hunters were successful?" Irina asked with a tone showing she only said it as an idle comment and not with any judgement. Before she heard his answer, the doors swung open and a Lycan was soon kneeling. Resisting the urge to make him stand, she waited silently while her father and her fathers slave conversed.
((Ack I can't think of how Amelia should enter))
((The passage will be inside of the throne room with a small peep holes. They will be able to see and hear everything in the room from anywhere as the passage circles the entire throne room.))
((Ah ok thanks. I shall post shortly.))
Amelia lead Gabriel through the passages with ease. She had grown up here and knew exactly where each one went. When they reached the throne room, Amelia stopped when they were at a spot caticorner from the throne. "That's Markus's daughter, Irina," she whispered to him. "I don't quite know where her allegiance lies." Then, her eyes fell upon the sword at Markus's side.
Markus was till rubbing the hilt of his sword subconsciously and it was directly next to Kayne. "My daughter. When I say you are the final heir to my throne then you are. Your brother's banishment and death sentence was only half carried out and I will ensure that it is pushed completely in tomorrows war. The eclipse comes and shall last for ten days. Jakub, unfortunately, still lives and has taken allegiance with the enemy." He said coldly his eyes swirling with darkness.
Gabriel nodded staying close to the Vampire. "When do we try for the blade? I know what your plan was to begin with, but can we really do it with Irina there as well?" He asked nervously ebfore seeing Kayne, "Wait...He beat us here...How did he lose the Lycans so easily?" Gabriel asked referring to Kayne.
Irina didn't have any political allegiance and remained silent about hearing that Jakub had joined with "the enemy". Her opinion was that all the races should just get over themselves and get on with their own lives. There was no need for war in her mind. Those who caused it had their own agendas and had no regards for the innocent lives lost in their quest for success. Besides, having no allegiance and being a drifter meant no one could easily justify killing her. However, if there was a war as big as the one coming up as her father mentioned, she needed to find a way to keep herself out of danger yet be helpful in some way. Information was something she had a lot of, so maybe she could give advise. Irina's thoughts were swirling as she remained standing not far from her father. Sitting was the last thing she had on her mind and being so close to a Lycan without being able to offer him some kind of comfort or freedom was irksome to her.
Amelia shook her head. "I do not know. I can create an illusion for her to see. We can only hope that she does not realize it is me and say something. I will do my best to cloud the Dominus's mind as well." She looked at Kayne briefly. "Kanye is more proficient than you know. He could become the leader of his kind of he wished. Leaders must be strong or they will lose their followers."
Kayne continued to kneel as he glanced at Markus's sword almost in relief but also fear and guilt. He wanted to help but he couldn't rebel against power even though it was no longer there is was subconsciously. "Master Markus. I know this is no time to interrupt but there is important news you must here." He paused looking to the ground as he took a steadying breath. "The lycans, they are rebelling and in great force. Their bonds have been broken and it probably won't be long until they are upon us." Though he knew most wouldn't dare group up and form a mob to go against Markus.
Markus nodded with a light smile, "My dear Kayne, you must be having wild dreams, the only imbalance is that darkness outweighs light. It is impossible for all the Lycans to rebel as each and everyone is linked to a single master. Thank you for your concern, but did you really expect me to be worried abotu a few mutts charging this way. If they truly are rebelling do to some outside force releasing their bonds, which isn't possible, I expect they will do the smart thing and run for safety before the eclipse comes and I send my armies to cleanse this land fully."
Gabriel gritted his teeth, "That lowlife double crossing dog!" He said in a hushed tone as much as possible. "I'll kill him myself when I get my hands on him. I'll freeze his heart solid." Gabriel was starting to get so pumped that ice was forming all around him and Amelia on the walls and the floors. It began creating a cold frost cloud that began to pour through the peepholes in the circular passage leaking into the throne room.

Kayne looked confused at his master words. "B-But master Markus it is true. Four attacked me with no order from their masters. Can you not sense it. The links have been broken." He told him in confusion, a little hurt to think that Markus didn't see Lycans of being worth to worry over. His nose started to sting when he noticed ice in the cracks behind the throne. "Master, we have company." He told him, unsure if he should be pointing out the prince and princesses whereabouts. Animal howls and hoots could be heard echoing down the halls in a rawr of anguish and excitement so loud it was painful to his ears. "See master, I tell the truth." He begged him for belief.
Pulling her from her thoughts was a white mist forming in her line of sight. Curious as to what it was, she narrowed he eyes and saw it resembled the cloud that rolled off of ice. Choosing to say nothing, she decided to move away from it and wander over to her chair.
Amelia did not panic as Gabriel started to lose control. She grabbed his face with her hand and met his eyes while she projected an image into Markus and Irina's minds, blocking them from seeing the ice. "Calm yourself, Prince," she whispered to him. "If you give us away now, we shall truely have to flee for our lives." She turned her head towards the entrance of the throne room, expecting Lycans to enter soon. They might be able to use their distraction to their advantage. "Wait until the Lycans enter. Then we might be able to make our move."
Gabriel tried controlling his breathing, but the temperature had already dropped drastically. "I am sorry, but I am releasing my full force when they get here." He warned Amelia.
Markus raised an eyebrow being halted from looking at the ice as he heard the animals. "Guards!!!!" Markus called out as a small group of soldiers fully armored entered. "Sir, our Lycans have gone mad. We have lost control!" Markus nodded and slung a hand forward as the guard who spoke became wide eyed and drew their sword stabbing themselves in the chest quickly. "I am aware of the situation now does anyone else want to find themselves committing suicide as well?" Everyone looked frightened having never seen Markus use his inner ability to such an extent that he didn't need to say a word. It was almost like mind domination, except Markus wasn't controlling the man's mind so much as his thoughts which led the man to believe everything was going to be better if he killed himself. "Secure the door!" Markus ordered coldly. "Irina, my daughter prepare yourself for a fight." It was a matter of seconds as Markus stood up drawing his battle blade and summoning forth armor from the shadows to cover him as they became overwhelmed in a loud crash of stone and wood. Animals and men rushing through the throne room screaming and attacking soldiers everywhere. Some Vampires were shouting to their Lycans to obey, but once their Lycans noticed them they found themselves being attacked. Markus' sword of weakness was left unguarded.
