After the division of Solum the Witches chose to venture form mortals. This act became a constitutional act known as the Division of Immortals. Witches wrote their own laws and realized the world was ruled by the Male race. Their kingdom was founded by a pioneer group of witches who decided that men will rule in a place under women. not truly making them slaves so much, but something very close. their laws were written so that males will be able to do as they please under the authority of females. The hierarchy of Ӕldingar became an all woman ruling. The males are treated well, but they are to be devoted to the women who are held above them in all families. When the Vampires came about the Witches knew for certain that it was led by a male. It was that act that made the Witches become far more strict on their males. Male Witches are forbidden to use their magic in any act of hostility or defense. The Males were also made example of unable to leave the home without being escorted by a female and unable to enter certain buildings alone without the escorting of their families higher female...aka. Their Mother.
The Witches of Ӕldingar have always been strict against their males ever since the Vampires broke apart. They had to know they could trust everyone and men could not be trusted with freedom. The men cook, clean, work the farms and do pretty much everything, but have the rights to freedom of speech or freedom to practice defensive or offensive magic. Any male caught using magic outside of their daily labor they are punished by being branded with an 'M' for Malicious Male. Then they are given bronze collars with spikes that are enchanted to keep them from using any form of magic at any point until they are so weakened in the practice that they only have their immortality to define them against mortals.
To reach Ӕldingar one much travel into the deep forest to the point where all rivers flow together. At this point they flow down into many rivers form a single waterfall of which the kingdom is built upon. Past many ancient ruins one will see the forest become alive.
Within the kingdom many of the villages are made into the trees. Well protected from enemies and something only magic can allow access to.
Once beyond the tree villages at the heart of the forest where all rivers flow a fortress rest upon the top of the falls. Within the fortress if one can get past the high security guards they will find themselves entering a doorway that will propel them into a deep heart surrounded by earthy cliffs and waterfalls. It is this gateway that brings them to the true Palace of the Witches and the capital building to the kingdom of Ӕldingar.
