OMG tai i just finished it and like ???????????? what??????? DON'T READ THE NEXT COUPLE OF WORDS IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE BOOK.
there are more mazes with more kids out there?????? the rescue was fake??????? they are all named after brilliant characters in our history?????? the flare tho??????? omg????? so many questions im seeing the movie tomorrow i am so excited omg
how did you feel about the ending (did you finish it?)
I finished it! I loved the ending but the Chuck thing made me teary eyed and like what on earth is going on???
And then my sister did a horrible thing and told me he didn't die in the movie and I got my hopes up and then it happeneedddddd
i saw the movie like five days ago and i loooooved it. Dylan was the perfect Thomas in my opinion and I looved Newt. I imagined Newt having a British accent even before I knew who was casted :P What was your favorite part? Did you prefer the movie or the book???
(+ How haveyou been it's been so long since we've talked!)
I know!! The cast was absolutely perfect which I have never seen in a book-to-movie adaptation before :) And the guy who plays Gally pulled off an american accent so well you couldn't even tell he's actually british which is amazing!
In the movie I loved the part where Teresa is throwing things down at the boys and they're like trying to defend from her and in the book my favourite was when Thomas and Newt were waiting for Alby and Minho to get back and then Thomas ran in or at the end when they get out of the maze and that whole thing with Chuck and Gally and I can barely talk right now I'm just so excited and happy XD I liked the book better though, even though I think they're both absolute perfection :P
(+ I am good how are you why haven't we been talking i miss you guys)

Yeeees I agree Gally was perfect. THe thing I noticed though is that they could've done a better job at explaining why they were sent into the Maze and all the things of the Flare because I went to see it with three people who hadn't read the book and while I understood because I had the idea before they were extremely confused :s( + oh my god well Silv I don't know why but I have been soooo busy I have two exams today and an essay and i have this huge thing memorized and i'm just waiting on the exam to spill it all on the page and forget about it the next day :P what about you? what have you been doooing)
I know! My friend basically had no idea what was going on half the time and I kind of didn't want to have to explain it to her because I just wanted to watch the movie and admire Dylan O'Brien :P
I actually missed pretty much this entire last week of school, so I'm feeling good right now XD Basically I've been writing and reading and sleeping and tumblring

A theory about The Maze Runner theme:We all have freedom, but what no one reading this has ever tried is, having freedom taken from them. The narrator says, “The sky over head was cloudless and blue, but Thomas could see no sign of the sun despite the brightness of the day.” (7). The relationship between height and power, means that when someone is higher that you, it symbolizes superiority. Therefore, I think this sentence is very meaningful to the theme; the idea of freedom. This is because when the author mentions how the sky is above Thomas, this represents that someone above him has power over him. When you think of the sky, the image that comes to your mind is a blue sky with clouds in it. I also have a theory about what the author means to show using the sun. Often when you see the sun you are not covered by anything above you, meaning you are free. The brightness means there is still hope for the Gladers to fight for their freedom. What I take away from the authors sentence is; the Gladers think they are being controlled and watched by the people with more power, but they don’t know whether they are free or not, but because they are not sure they will give everything to be sure.
