10.9 - Portrait of a Lady

Read a book with a cover that depicts a female figure alone with no other human forms present. Obvious facial or body features and/or traditionally female clothing must be seen.
ex.
The Long Song by Andrea Levy The Girl in the Clockwork Collar (Steampunk Chronicles, #2) by Kady Cross Belle by Beverly Jenkins Longbourn by Jo Baker
Required: Include the cover.

Melanie (watermelanie) | 124 comments To clarify, does it need to include most of the woman's body, or are close-ups on the face okay?

Close-ups are fine as long as you can tell it is a female figure.

Would this kindle version work? The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

There is a PB with the same cover, although it's not the top MMPB (where the cover is less clear).

Thanks.

I'd be reading the kindle version, although there is a PB with the The Handmaid's Tale (The Handmaid Tale, #1) by Margaret Atwood.

Thanks."

Yes, and only the cover for the edition that you read needs to be considered.

Hi, I wanted to check to make sure that this was a feminine enough figure, since she's definitely not in traditionally female clothes! Thanks.

The drawing doesn't obviously seem to be a girl, but we can assume it is because the word "girl" is in the title.
