Félix (habitseven) They are small plants that look like miniature big trees.

They are potential big trees that have been tortured. A little like what the oriental ladies used to do to their feet.

You would be best off doing a bonsai course. There may be online courses.

Ah, oops, sorry. I am not sure trees have feelings about it either way.

Félix (habitseven) Involves wire and constant snipping here and there.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3598 comments This Old House had a segment the other day on bonsai. You can make a bonsai with any type of tree. It does involve a form of torture, forcing the limbs to grow horizontally and forcing the roots into a small container. Because of this, frequent watering and good drainage are necessary.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3598 comments When the state road department levels some land beside the highway, they spread something that looks like hay on the dirt. A while later, there's grass. What is this stuff they spread? I'm asking because I'm having some land cleared and would like to do the same thing and have grass instead of weeds.
