Isolde's Chambers

Isolde was sitting in her office chair, with the back to the door, reading the newest genetic research report. She heard the door sliding open, but didn't look up from her work."State your full name, post and reason of visit or I'll call the guards. " she said in a cold, almost mechanic voice, without acknowledging the guest.
Richard executed a short bow stiffly. He hated bowing to these people. He hated bowing. "Richard, spy, and currently, bodyguard duty."
Isolde raises a her eyebrow but still doesn't look up. "And on whose orders are you my bodyguard?"she said in an uninterested voice. In reality she was angry, because someone on the council might suspect her of being an accomplice to the Resistance.
((Yep, that would be Devon Nyx))
Richard shrugged. Technically, it was on Devon Nyx's, but he wasn't about to say that. "Robertson's," he said instead, not giving a single sign that he was lying. Robertson was, of course, now dead, but inside the Council that news seemed to be slow to travel. Everyone on the outside had already heard of it, however. "But he's dead. Anyone could be next."

She looked up at the spy named, Richard. She smiled her cruel smile. "Well why would anyone on the Council, or should I say Devon Nyx, would put a spy in charge of being my bodyguard, when there are lots of guard, who have don't have such an important role as a spy." Isolde says as she finally looks up. "Also Robertson was a fool, that is why he's dead now. It is of no importance to me however . "
"In times of crisis, spies act as members of the Guard and Police," Richard pointed out. "And Devon Nyx did not instruct me to do so."
"Whatever you say" Isolde said as she turned back to her papers. After a few seconds she observed that Richard was still in the room. " Why are you still here? You were dissmissed." she says with an exasperated sigh.
Richard narrowed his eyes, but left the chambers. He stopped in the hall after the door was closed.

Isolde calls Marcus to her Chambers. He arrives pretty Fast."I want you to spy on Richard and see who put him to be "my bodyguard". I want to know who and why thinks I'm part of the Resistance." Isolde says as she puts down the paper. " Please be as carefull as possible Marcus. I can't blow up my cover not after the supposed murder of Robertson." She says in a quite voice as she plays with the red pendant. " You are dismissed."
((How are you? Also, if Marcus is in the Council Spy Barracks, you can't use him here. He may only be used in one place at once.))
((It's fine now, so all's good. =) ))
Richard had slipped into a nearby Council Member's Chambers. He slipped a mask on and slipped a blanket around himself, pretending to be a hunchback old crone. When he heard Marcus enter Isolde's room, he fled, not making any sounds. He made it out of the Skyscraper and down the street before Marcus left.

Marcus stepped out of the Isolde's room. He was sure he heard someone hiding before he Walked in. His senses told him that Richard would either return or go out of the Skyscraper. If he would return Isolde would most likely contact him. He pulled his cloak around him and went out of the Skyscraper. He couldn't let anyone find out the truth about Isolde.
((I'll post in the Heart of the City Streets))
Isolde looked at the monitor of her computer. She received a message, which told her that the council was gathering. She sighed and went to change, into a black pencil skirt, a white shirt and a black blazer. Then she left her room.
((Wait, if she's in the Council Meeting, you don't actually need to post this. If you want to, go ahead, but it's unnecessary work. =) Only necessary if you have to have her leave a roleplay with another person.))
Isolde came into her room, to find Marcus already on the computer. She saw that he wanted to talk to her, but made him stop. She started showing him what she learned at the meeting, while they watched the video in Sextus' room. It was just as Isolde suspected Devon Nyx had killed Robertson. She left this information to Marcus, while she destroyed the evidence linking to her.
((She shows him the video she recorded?))
Richard watched as Marcus left uer chambers and walked down the hall. He then moved to stand right in front of the door.

Isolde checked on the surveillance camera outside her Chambers. She saw Richard standing outside the door looking quite bored. She decided that she should play the ignorant role and see what he thinks. She goes to the door and says." You know that if someone gets in my room, on a different way than the hallway, I'd be killed and you blamed, right?" She asks in a sarcastic tone.
"I know that I am more dead if I enter, so this has to do," Richard retorted, not sounding particularly interested. Or perhaps that was just his voice. He was used to being a bit detached from the situation in order to be able to evaluate what was the best course of action.
"Hmm And how would you more dead if you entered? It's not like I'm gonna take a Scalpel and cut you to death." Isolde said in a flirty tone.
"I'm sure you could think of something," Richard said dryly, "though the lack of the threat of being cut to death with a scalpel is a relief." He grimaced, not truly having had a full smile since the death of his sister years back.
"So you think that I can harm you? Well it's not like I can Poison , strangle or stab you... " she said in a flirty tone. " At least come in, have some tea." She said in a polite way, that said that she wanted asomething more than tea.
Richard looked at her for a second. "You threatened to call the guards on me earlier," he pointed out placidly, his tone not varying in the least. He figured, with that in mind, that he rather ought to do as Isolde suggested.
"Well I seem to remember that you entered my room uninvited, and I had to tell you to identify yourself. Don't you think you were a bit bad mannered?" She said crossing her arms.
"And then you sent that boy after me when I had left, don't you think that's a bit rude?" his voice was still flat, despite the sarcastic tone his words should have had. He stared unblinkingly at Isolde.
"So I'm supposed to trust any stranger, that comes here and tells me that he's my new personal bodyguard?" She asked in an amused voice." Kathy, if you aren't able to realize that as a Council Member I don't trust anyone then your place isn't here." She said as she turned to her chambers.
He winced at the use of his surname. "And you did a good imitation of an executioner," he pointed out quietly, still taking the apparently retracted. "You don't think I have seen cruelty?"
Isolde stopped. She closed her eyes and her hand clenched on the door. She saw a gruesome scene, in her mind. Her mother buried under rubble, her hand, covered in blood, the only visible thing. Her father's corpse mostly carbonized, his skin was melted. Her screams as the Council's police force came and she blacked out. She pushed away those memories. " Maybe you should know more about who your talking to,when you speak of cruelty. " Isolde said through clenched teeth. She continued going inside.
Richard still followed her into her room with a long, even gait. "Maybe I should, but everyone seemingly has a sob story these days." He sighed heavily.
Isolde smirked."It would seem so. What is your sob story, if I may ask?" She said as she put the kettle on the fire. She turned to him, while she leaned on the black marble counter.
"Exactly that. Mine," Richard replied, his voice softer. It wasn't a story he liked to tell, or even one he had the words to describe. Even now, his heart ached with loss and betrayal when he thought of it. He just wasn't ready to share yet.
"Hmm... If I may guess, I'd say someone close to you died." She said as she handed a cup with white tea."A friend, no someone closer to you.. A sister or brother, maybe? Sugar?" She asked in a kinder voice than usual. She brought the cup to her lips her eyes never leaving Richard's face. He looked really for a spy. He's rogue like hair and intense eyes made him an attractive guy. So Devon Nyx was betting on good looks, a common past and a mysterious personality, to help her discover the truth. Well after all two can play this Game.
Richard tensed his muscles, and his gaze could nearly bore a hole into the wood. He accepted the tea from Isolde and held it in one hand. His gaze shifted the the tea in his hand. "No sugar."
"Your sibling... She or He was killed?" Isolde said as she put her free hand on his hand."You know you don't have to mourm alone. It's harder to mourm if you are alone." She said in a quite voice, while looking at her tea.
Richard was silent for a moment, brooding over his tea and not reacting to the hand on his. "I'm past mourning now," he eventually said, his voice little more than a hoarse whisper. It wasn't a lie; he was just bitter and in it for revenge now.
"That is one of worst lies I have ever heard." Isolde said as she went to get herself some more tea. "There is no such thing as being past mourming. Whenever we lose someone close to us they leave begind holes in our hearts. The only wau to be sure that they don't drive you crazy is to patch them with memories. Because in our memories and hearts they'll always be alive." Isolde said with her back turned, a single lone tear, gliding on her cheek.
"It does," he agreed, "but I am beyond mourning." He sighed heavily and glanced up for a second at Isolde before returning his gaze to his tea. "Who did you lose?" He wasn't sure he wanted the answer, but he assumed it would be best to ask.
She returned to sit next to Richard and she looked at him."My whole family. My mother, my father....." She said in a soft voice."And my... my sister." She said looking at her tea. Her hands were shaking, so badly, so put her cup on the coffe table. She glanced up at Richard. "Who did you lose?"
"Sister," he whispered, his gaze still fixed on his tea. "Killed by people we both trusted." He took a long, shaky breath. He hated the Resistance for what they had done to Meredith.
"It seems that for every good thing in our lives, fate takes something of bigger value. Seems like a bad deal to me." she said absently. She now figured out why Devon Nyx might have put someone like Richard to spy on her. She thought that beside the fact that Richard was a good spy, he could use his similar past to influence her. It wasn't going to work on her though.
"I hate those that took her from me," he whispered. "There is nothing else." He could feel the slightest tears forming in his eyes, but he tried his best to hide them from both Isolde and himself. His voice was dark, and it held more than a note of bitterness.
"There is always something other than vengeance in life. There is always something or someone who'll give you something that makes you belive so. Also think that if your sister truly loved you, she'd want you to have a happy life, not one where vengeance becomes your only goal." She said looking Richard in the eyes.
Richard kept his gaze steadfastly on his tea. "Is there? More things than retribution? We were Resistance because we hated the Council and wanted revenge on them, and then they betrayed us as retribution for something they fallaciously believed to be true without evidence, and now I'm in this for revenge." He closed his eyes.
Isolde put her hands on the sides of Richard's face and turned his face to hers. " There is always a middle way, but you have to make it yourself. Taking revenge isn't the best thing, but doing nothing is never good. You musn't lose your soul in the process." She said in a quite tone, her lips forming a little O. He was even more handsome up close.

The furniture is modern. On one wall is her four-poster bed with a thick. In a second room, there are a few plush chairs. The comforter and chairs are all done in a black and white abstract lines design. There are also some rugs in Isolde's chambers as well, but the colors are inverted from those of the chairs and comforter.
From the ceilings, particularly in her sitting room and bedroom, she has some lamps hanging down. They tend to have the same design as the rugs and cast a silver glow throughout the chambers. In some corners, particularly near the bookshelves, she has some more traditional lamps.
She has her own herb garden, spread across her chambers. Each different type of herb has its own pot (the typical terra cotta pot) and its own decorative position.
Roleplay!
((P.S. Is this good? Any edits?))
