((Hi sorry I haven't been on))
Frost fiddled with her thumbs. Going to school for the day had been boring. She definitely wasn't going to try it again. The Resistance had already taught her all that she needed to know to survive.

((TGIF!!!))Night was strolling the streets in her clothing that she only wore to the Outskirts. She fumbled with a ruby in her pocket.
Frost decided to look for something to eat. She dug in her bag, but there were only crumbs there. She swung her backpack over her shoulder and then got up.
Night heard a rustling noise to her right. She turned her head in that direction, then smiled at what she saw.
Frost started walking, thinking about where she could get some quick food. Then, she heard voices. "Child Resistance members...yes, in this park, she said..." Frost's eyes widened and she broke into a run. She couldn't risk being caught. She turned a corner and almost bumped right into another person.

"Hello, Fro-" Night was cut off by Frost's expression. She knew what it meant and started running, motioning to her to hurry up.
((Oi, Caroline, could you post in the Control Room in the Council's Skyscraper?))
((Okay))
Frost was surprised to see that it was Night that she almost crashed into, but she kept running until she darted into a grove of trees.

"Okay, we're okay now." Frost made sure that they couldn't be seen or heard by anyone, and started explaining why she had been running.
((I think I'm counting this as finished since both characters are now in the Barn))

Closer to the Slums, there are more buildings in a small town-type environment, but by the time one gets to the Wall, it's farmland with very few buildings. Nowhere in the Outskirts are there skyscrapers.
The buildings are all wooden and dirt cheap. There are few supplies here, and the prices for materials are high. Fights often break out here, particularly over supplies.
Despite this, the area is rather efficient, and it is off the crops farmed and meat slaughtered that the City can survive.
There are not many roads in this area, and those that are made of dirt. The Police come here maybe once a decade at most. For that reason, the atmosphere of fear is a lot less than in the rest of the City.
The children here have a poorer school. The education is nowhere near as good, but the students can still learn.
