First Impressions: An Amish Tale of Pride and PrejudiceMount Hope: An Amish Retelling of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park
Second Chances: An Amish Retelling of Jane Austen's Persuasion
Sense and Sensibility: An Amish Retelling of Jane Austen's Classic
The Matchmaker: An Amish Retelling of Jane Austen's Emma
I've only read the Sense and Sensibilty one, but really enjoyed it. The restrictions of Regency life translated quite well to the Amish setting, I thought.
I agree, Anji. The first time I read one, I went... Dang... that really works. I suppose that is why it is so popular. I wouldn't want a steady diet of Amish but I can tolerate a few books.
Not really strictly related, but I thought I'd share here under the topic of Amish people. My husband and I recently watched For Richer or Poorer with Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley. I found it fun. Some swearing, and some reference to sex, but it was a fun story. It's about a rich couple blending into an Amish society.
