Echostar padded through her territory and stopped at the border she sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "This is getting old."

Whisperheart waited in his hiding spot ready to run back to camp to get help for his leader.

"Well look if it isn't the prissy little rabbit eater."Darkstar snarled out loudly standing by the border baring his teeth.

Bearpaw hid next to Bladerunner her pelt pressed against his.

Echostar rolled her eyes and tried to stay calm. "Darkstar, must we always do this?" She asked with annoyance evident in her voice.

Bladerunner placed her tail across her shoulders in comfort.

"Yes Ms. Prissy paws..we must.. Since you can't break a nail."Darkstar laughed out cruelly .

Bearpaw looked up into his eyes her blue green eyes sparkling.

Echostar snarled at him and jumped to her paws. "What did you call me?" She snarled daring him to say it again.

Bladerunner smiled down at his apprentice and then heard Echostar snarl back at Darkstar. Out if habit he tense and waited for a fight to break.

"Ms..Priss."Darkstar stopped dead in his track."Go to camp now."Darkstar snarled out to Bearpaw. He looked down the road seeing the Monster head towards Echostar. He ran across the road quickly and tackled Echostar feeling the monster's breath on their pelts before they rolled down the hill to safety.

Whisperheart ran to camp to camp to get the medicine cat.

Bearpaw ran to camp her air sticking up in fright.

Echostar growled. "You come onto my terri..." She began yelling at him until he tackled her. She squeaked in both fright and shock. She was beneath him when they had stopped rolling and was a bit disoriented. She gazed up at him in complete shock.

Bladerunner raced after Bearpaw towards camp to get help.

Darkstar looked up to see the monster swerve right where Echostar was standing before it got back on the path and ran off. He looked down into Echostar's eyes trying to ignore the feeling in his heart As he looked into her eyes.

She gazed back at was both confused and grateful. "Thank you ." She murmured in a soft voice that despite her attempt to make it stop, trembled.

"I... Don't thank me...I...Id do it again in a heart beat.."Darkstar admitted softly his normal loud intimidating voice softening. He tried to recover hoping she didn't notice that he sounded romantic. He climbed off of her carefully so he didn't crush her under his weight. He carefully helped her up licking some dust off of her shoulder.

Echostar was shocked that he didn't sound like his usual obnoxious self. She nodded slowly and too k his help for getting to her paws. Though she stumbled slightly fell against him.

Darkstar looked into her eyes again. He sighed softly his eyes softening as he looked at her.

Echostar was still leaning against him as she tried to regain her footing, though kept failing. "Sorry." She murmured a bit awkwardly.

"Don't.."Darkstar helped Echostar to a flat area noticing the sky was turning dark quickly.

Echostar nodded and gladly took his help. She gazed at the sky and notice it darkening as well "we better take shelter." She told him gently.

Darkstar helped her over to a bush noticing it was sheltered underneath. He knew she wouldn't want him next to her so he stayed outside. He looked up at the sky as rain started to pour down on him. He sighed feeling his long hair get plastered onto his body his muscular frame finally being revealed. He looked at Echostar his eyes softening so she knew he was fine.

Echostar padded over to the bush and crawled beneath it. She scooted over expecting him to come under as well, but saw him stay outside. "Darkstar, get under here before you get sick." She scolded not caring what history they had between them. Despite their constant bickering, she didn't actually hate him.

Darkstar crawled under the bush and tried not to press against her so she wouldn't get wet. He stared at his muddy paws slowly knowing Echostar probably hated him.

"Honestly, now you're dripping wet." Echostar muttered and out of her own instincts she shifted closer to him and began to groim his pelt the wrong way in an anymore warm him up am get him drier.

"You don't have to help me.."Darkstar looked at her." I know you hate me..I see the hatred in your eyes at gatherings."Darkstar mumbled softly.

"It's not hatred and I know I don't have to, but this I the least I can do for you." Echostar told him. "Besides if I hated you I'd let you sit out in the rain." She told him.

Darkstar touched his tail to her cheek slightly." Don't worry about me...I deserve to get sick."He chuckled at the irony of the situation.

"No one deserves to get, no matter how infuriating they can be." Echostar replied, though her breath hitched slightly when his tail brushed her cheek. She went back to grooming him the opposite direction.

Darkstar pressed against her slowly enjoying the warmth of her pelt slightly."I promise to get out of your hair as soon as the rain passes..."he said softly.

Echostar nodded and nuzzled against him tiredly. She yawned before slowly drifting off, cuddled against him

Darkstar opened his eyes in the morning. He stood up shakily knowing they may have made a terrible mistake. He licked her ear gently and climbed out of the bush hearing a Tom calling for Echostar. He ran back over the border running into his clan mates.

"Echostar!!"Whisperheart called for his leader. Cringing at the smell of Shadowclan.

Echostar was still laying beneath the bush her eyes closed. She felt Darkstar lick her ear and twitched slightly. She blinked her eyes open and saw that she was alone.

"Did he hurt you."Whisperheart said coming up to his leader.

Echostar gazed up at Whisperheart and shook her head. "No, he didn't." She replied and then went to get up again, but fell to her stomach.

Whisperheart helped her up gagging."You reak of his scent."he growled out softly.

Echostar got back to her paws leaning against him. "When the rain came, we both took refuge under the bush. It wouldn't surprise me if he had my scent on him as well." She replied easily.

((She so is avoiding the truth..))

Whisperheart nodded carefully."Alright.."he started helping her to camp.

((Yep))

Echostar was still leaning against him, but walked a bit more easily as they headed back towards camp. She thought about yesterday and pursed her lips. Oh StarClan what have we done. She thought gravely. Her eyes darkened, she looked as if anger had finally returned.

"Would you look at that.."Whisperheart stopped and saw a little dead flower seem to jolt back to life..((a good sign))

Echostar saw it and then looked up and glared. A good sign? Maybe for you, but not for me. She thought, but realized it could be their way of saying that there was nothing to feet over. She sighed and calmed herself. "let's get back to camp before they send out another search party." She chuckled to herself softly.

Whisperheart lead her to camp."I'm going to check Riverclans border."he told his leader slowly.

((Camp for them and then he goes again.

Echostar nodded before padding the rest of the way to camp on her own. She stopped right before the entrance and then rolled in a sweet, smelling her to rid her pelt of Darkstar's scent completely.

((Let's hold off on that one for now. At least until things pick up))
