The Starry Night
An hour had passed as Adam simply walked into the restaurant. He adjusted the tie to his pure white suit. He made his way to the table reserved for council members.
Cecily walked into the restaurant, catching sight of Adam she smiled and walked over to the table. "Hello"
He laughed a bit as he took his seat. The music that had been playing was sweet and melodic. A waiter came to take their orders. "I shall have the gammon steaks with colcannon and redcurrant sauce." Adam turned his gaze from the waiter to Cecily.
"Same." She said, not looking at the waiter. "I also brought something yo show you, if you're interest."
"For that you would have to come back to my personal chambers." Adam smiled as two glass cups of wine were placed in front of them.
((Sorry about not being on:( I've had so much work to do))Cecily smiled at him and took a sip from her wine. "I do have something to show you but I don't think it would be wise share it in a restaurant. Anyways, what made you first join the Council?"
((But leave first because of Rule 7))
((I'm counting this as over, btw, due to Rule 7 and lack of posting))
Emi bit her lip as they pulled up. "There is no way that I can't think that. I'm a spy and you are a rich council member."
"No one will talk for fear of death." Marik laughed and checked his PDA quickly before stepping out and helping her out.
Quinn did actually have a job, even if she didn't have much of a social life. Big difference between the two. But the social life aspect kind of ruined her job for her. The instant she saw who was coming up the path toward the restaurant, the young waitress was begging the hostess not to seat them in her area. Unfortunately for her, the hostess did just that. "Right this way." The blonde hostess told the pair, leading them back into Quinn's section. She handed them their menus with a, "Quinn will be your server tonight." Before leaving to serve someone else, smiling wickedly as she passed the horrified Quinn.
"Wait does that mean that the portions are tiny and I'm going to be craving a giant greasy burger?" she asked teasingly.
Marik took his seat and began to glance through the menus. His eyes darted towards the waitress and instantly his heart skipped a beat. "You have a point Emi, oh and allow me to introduce my sister." This time he stared directly at the waitress.
Marik grinned rather widely as he went back to looking down towards the menu. "So Quinn working here in this place by night hacking by day."
Quinn looked like she didn't know whether to be red with embarrassment or pale with fear as she slowly moved over to the table, chewing on her lower lip. "D-Do you know what drinks you'd like?" She forced out, looking anywhere but at Marik. She didn't remind him that he was so much worse than her. God, she couldn't remember the last tim she'd seen him. But she knew all about his little antics.
"I'd like a glass of whatever your best white wine is. I'm sure he wants a scotch or something." she looked at Marik
"Bingo." Marik smiled at Emi before using his only eye to burn a hole into Quinn as he stared at her. "Relax take a seat let's catch up." His grin returned full fold.
Quinn's hands tightened around her notebook and pen until her knuckles were white from the effort. "I have to put the orders in..." She pointed out, but was too afraid to move to go do that. Though, in retrospect, why was she afraid? What was he going to do, leave her? Oh wait. He'd already done that.
"I swear I don't bite. If that's what you are afraid of." Emi assured her with a kind smile as she saw her panic.
"It's not you she is afraid of." Marik smiled and grabbed the empty chair from behind him and placed it right down next his side. "Sit."
Very, very reluctantly Quinn slowly sank into the chair, literally as far from him as she could physically get while still on the chair. "I'm going to get in trouble for this though." She pointed out.
"The council owns the place along with everything else." Marik laughed and removed the PDA that rested inside of Quinn's pocket.
Quinn automatically reached for her belonging again, but though better of it a split second later and returned to staring at the floor in her slightly hunched position, looking completely helpless. Atleast she wasn't dumb enough to have her hacking and illegal things on that device.
"Hmm not a thing of importance on here. Seems someone is thinking similar." Marik grinned as he began to track the movements of the PDA easily with a few lines of code. "Oh and if your wondering my missing eye still hurts like hell."
"And if you're wondering, my life after you left me all alone has been worse than hell." Quinn replied, not even moving as she glanced over at him from the corner of her eye. It was a split second glance before she went back to staring hard at the low black heels required as part of her uniform. With most guys, she kept her sarcastic streak hidden. But hey, he was her brother. No matter how little he cared about her now, she had grown up with him. And she was still really hurt and upset about that whole deal. Was't it common knowledge that you stay with your siblings?
Quinn snorted. "And the fact that it took you this long to figure it out says what about how our lives went after you left me?" She pointed out, jumping and flinching as the manager yelled at her. She darted off to the side and back into the kitchen, returning a moment later with the requested drinks and setting them on the table.
