I think she means Matthew 18:20 ("For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” NIV)

I know how you feel! Trust me though, there are a lot of good kids out there.
Oh yeah, I like to paraphrase verses a little bit. Sorry about that!

Please pray for my relationship with my mom. It feels like the titanic, and it's sinking fast. It seems like after everyone conversation, one of us ends up angry. There are so many misunderstandings, it's like we speak a different language. I just wish I had a close relationship with her, and could tell her things, and have deep conversations. I'd appreciate your prayers!!

I know how this feels. My mom and I had a time when nothing went right. It was REALLY hard. Something I've found really helps, is the letter. You're a writer, and you could tell her everything you feel. I did it one time with my dad and it changed everything. Tell your mom everything you're feeling. She might feel hurt in the beginning, but trust me when I say you both would be so thankful you did it!

The problem is, I'm too scared. I don't want to get in trouble, and I don't want to be vulnerable...

The thing is, sometimes it's better to speak your mind and tell the truth and get in trouble than storing it all inside. Trust me, your mom will thank you later!

Hey y'all. My Aunt Kathrine is having trouble with alcohol consumption. My family just got back from visiting her a couple of days ago (we were there for a week) and now my Mom's sister is keeping her company while Kathrine's husband is in Europe on a business trip. Please pray for Kathrine and her new husband, Jim, as they try to overcome this and also for my family as we struggle to find an over night babysitter so my Mom and Dad can drive up to D.C. about once a month. Thanks y'all, keep us in your prayers!
Hey There! This is particularly for Lena, but all of us have relationships that are tough, (or could be better!) and so can benefit! Try reading "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck. He's a Christian who was drawn to psychology and digging deep into how the Lord set up our minds to work, and how we can use the info to help straighten out the "vicious cycles" in our relationships and selves. It REALLY helped me out when I was about to seriously go completely insane over the stress in my familial relationships, (especially with my mother.) Reading it and praying for strength got me over a huge bump in the road, and I am so much more able to handle life and people better.
He uses long sentences, but for writers that shouldn't be a problem! The true stories he includes to illustrate what he's talking about are really great, and helped understand on a whole new level what he was meaning. Since he is a believer, he takes a Biblical type perspective, but also is never "preachy" about it, focusing on the ways that humans work, and how biblical principles are the best way to work toward healthy relationships; with others and ourselves!
You can probably find it at the library, and even if you don't think you need it, as a writer, it's a Completely AWESOME resource for characterization and motivation and everything to make your story people deep, deep, deep!!! ;-)
So really, get it... and read it! A couple of times, if that's what it takes!
It's completely worth it.
And it REALLY helped me out when I was totally at the end of my rope. :-)
Praying for your aunt, Kathleen, and your whole family!
Thanks so much Elizabeth! I will definitely check it out!!!

Please pray for me: I'm suddenly taking the PSAT tomorrow morning, so pray that I'm not too nervous (since I haven't studied!) and I don't do too poorly. Thx!
Take deep breaths!!! They say public speakers should breath in enough air "to sit on"... and all that oxygen calms the nerves. :-) Let us know how it works!!! :-)
I think it went pretty well, but I don't get the results back until December. Thank you for praying!!
I've got two prayer requests: Please pray for my family and our current financial situation. We've got some medical and insurance bills to pay that require more money than we currently have in our bank account. I'm trying to trust in the Lord that He'll provide, but it's hard when I know my current job doesn't pay enough. Related to that, I have an interview tomorrow for a part-time teaching position at the Christian college I graduated from. The job would be a major blessing since teaching is what I love to do besides writing and it would supplement my family's income. Any prayers you all can lift up are certainly appreciated. Thanks!
Just wanted to let you guys know that I got the part-time teaching job! And the Lord has provided in many ways financially. We've still got some things to pay, but overall prayers are being answered. Thank you all and praise God for his goodness :)
Isn't God so good? I've been overwhelmed lately by all the answered prayers and unexpected blessings that God has given so many people. I will continue to pray for your family.

That's awesome! God's such an awesome God! Whenever our family has financial problems, we always write Philippians 4:19 on the whiteboard: "And God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Hi all! I am taking an admission test to get into community college early (since I'm homeschooled) in the next couple of days. They'll test me for reading, writing and math. So please pray that God is with me while I'm being tested!! Thanks :)
Please pray for my family's financial situation. We haven't had a good month in the office, and we need it to turn around! Thank you!
I will be be praying for your family Brianna. God is in control of everything, whatever happens is for His will and your good.
I'll be praying Brianna! I know there are many other families (including my own) in similar situations, so we should keep them all in prayer!!
I want to thank everyone who has been praying for my relationship with my mom: it's doing so much better! I'd also appreciate prayers for guidance as I'm checking out various colleges. Thanks and God bless!
I'll continue to pray for you and your mom, Lena. Choosing a college can be daunting so I'll be praying God helps you in that endeavor.
Thanks Daniel!! It's really appreciated. This college thing is starting to freak me out a little bit! ;)
I understand being freaked out about stuff. ;)My family is considering moving to be closer to our church and stuff, so I'd appreciate prayer that God will make His will clear to us in that area. It's kind of scary to me, since I generally kind of freak out about big change.
Hi everyone,
On Monday, my dad's coworker/receptionist got a call: her dad died. He was only 52, and the saddest thing for me is that she is only five months from her wedding. He won't be there to walk her down the aisle. So please, pray for her family, that they know this wasn't God who did this and that they can get stronger because of this.
Thank you :)
