Hello Connie
I am looking for a buddy to read Ulysses, are you reading other books with explanations about the original work?
Nidhi, I think a group of members here did a buddy-read of Ulysses a couple of years ago. You could look in the discussion archives to see who participated.
I have some books I can't wait to read next month, including Ice by Anna Kavan
Lanny by Max Porter
Swimming home by Deborah Levy
Killing Comendatore by Murakami Song dogs by Colum Mccann re read
Everything under by Daisy Johnson
I have others on stand by if I get through these including
Vox by Christina Dalcher.

Cleo - I just finished Chernobyl- it was very interesting and well written. It doesn’t seem right to say I enjoyed it but I do recommend it.Pam - I thought Middlesex was a masterpiece of multilevel writing. The “middle” applies to many themes in that rich tale. I hope you enjoy it.
I was disappointed with the author’s “Marriage Plot” - I think the themes were too sophisticated for my humble brain.

Thanks for the recommendation, Joan! I'm not very far into it, but it's certainly interesting so far. I like how he sets a background for it so, as a reader, you can perhaps have a better grasp of the cause and the following ineptitude of the containment of it.
