New Adult Book Club discussion

Hi.

I’m trying to find a book that I read a while back, but it’s proving difficult as I can’t remember the name of the author or the title :) It was about a girl who’d been dumped by her boyfriend, he’d met a new girl while on some exotic vacation. She ran into him at a bar a while later. He was with his new girl and she panicked and asked some random guy to pretend to be her boyfriend. Turns out the random guy was the new girls ex.

Later on, her old boyfriend and his girl moved in next door and the pretend couple had to pretend to live together to keep up the charade. There was also something about her ex climbing a tree (a peach tree?) outside her window, for some shady reason. Anyone have any clue what I’m on about?

Please help a forgetful girl out!

But this sounds like a great read 😊

I finally figured it out, and now I feel stupid. I had it in my bookshelf all along, but I’d confused the plot with another book. It was The Heartbreaker by Lili Valente. So, sometimes even real life has small happy endings! ;)
