Only through chapter 4 at the moment and I am not loving it. Why is hiking through the woods in a blizzard a better idea than staying in a car full of camping gear? I mean, really.
So far, most of the characters have been really annoying to me but it seems like it'll be a good thriller. I'm excited to see where it goes from here (like what the heck is Korbie going to do in that cabin?)
I go... just like i planned xd I really see that Britt is so stupid and i like that (A little bit), it just i don't understand this woman at aaaaall
I like it so far! I like the beginning "April" scene and how it's all tying in. Very cool. The whole walking in the snow thing wasn't the smartest but then again I can see why the decision was made since she thought it was for the best and she doesn't know any better if the best choice was to stay or go.I'm intrigued how it seemed the Mason already knew her? It gave me slightly stalker vibes. And I'm not sure if he cares about her as an individual or just doesn't like what Shaun is doing at all and has remorse.
Why do they need to get off the mountain?? Hoping that will be revealed soon. Maybe it has something to do with the girls body? Hmm...
Can't wait to read more! This is essentially my first thriller, and I'm feeling good about the genre so far in regards to this book!
The main characters are extremely annoying, especially Korbie. Hopefully, they get a good reality check by the end of this on how not to trust two sketchy men in the middle of nowhere... Plus, I really hope Mason/Britt doesn't happen because come on, just because he shows signs of having a few doubts about keeping them hostage, doesn't mean he has a crush on her. -.- But then again, she may have Stockholm's syndrome. :p
I'm enjoying it so far. I'm dying to see what this Mason guy is really like. I don't trust anyone in this story ha :)
I like the book as a thriller but I agree I don't like the characters. Mason is weird I don't know what his deal is. Korbie is a really annoying character Britt I like at least. I feel a little bad for her and want to see what's next.
Reading pretty fast. I'm normally a slow reader. I'm not scared but more grossed out when she opened up that chest I was in shock! It reminds me of that other book I read a while back called lovely bones. The main character is a bit crazy how she has a crush on Mason. She's in one room and where the heck is Korbie? Can't remember her getting separated from her except when they were cooking dinner. This book jumps around a lot (past/present) can be a bit confusing!
So interesting!! I'm loving the background story building and all the mystery!! So excited to keep reading!!
I really like it so far! Britt is really keeping her wits about her in a dangerous situation. I'm not quite sure what is going on with Mason yet, and I have no idea what Korbie is going to do now that they have left her behind. Will she be smart enough to find her way out? I also can't wait to find out if they do kill Britt once she gets them to the highway. So much still to learn.
I'm really enjoying this book, which kind of surprises me a bit. First I heard it was really great, but now I'm hearing people say they hate it. I've thought it was great from page one. I think it's really interesting and I want to see where it's going. The only time I've been "scared" so far is in chapter ten when they're talking about Friday the 13th. And I don't think Britt or Korbie are all that annoying as some people are making them out to be. My only "complaint" so far in the book would be Britt's reaction to the thing in the chest. She didn't really seem to freak out as much as I think she should have. If I were in that situation, I would definitely be having a break down.
I'm wondering if mason knows about what's in the chest or not. I think the authors trying to make it seem like he does, since he's here now, but I'm thinking he doesn't know, even though he's not really trying to stop Shaun from doing anything to hurt the girls. Also wondering about Korbie, they say they left her but we don't know if she dead or alive really! I'm hoping they don't kill her but don't see Shaun leaving her behind completely unharmed either...It's okay for me so far, can't decide which way it'll go yet, if I'll like it or not. It's fast paced and I'm super interested to find out what's going to happen! But if this girl ends up falling for this mason guy I'm going to be mad, I mean really, who would do that after what he let the other guy do?!
This is my first thriller and I'm finding this book very intriguing! Ok, Korbie is so annoying and I'm glad they left her behind. But I just can't figure out if Mason is good or bad! Hopefully we'll find out soon!! I found the beginning ('april' chapter) very interesting but after that I got a little bored. It's starting to get more exciting though and I'm looking forward to how this story will end up!! :)

Agree completely. I love the book. Already read 150 pages and started today. Probably finish it tomorrow =)

Enjoying it so far. I think Britt is doing the best that she can in her situation. I am not sure how I feel about Mason and I hate Shaun!
I was apprehensive going into this book since there have been some negative reviews on it, but I'm finding it enjoyable for what it is so far. Hopefully I continue to feel this way. :) I agree that Britt has made a few questionable decisions, and her and Korbie's personalities are a bit irritating, but I'm mainly interested in the dynamics of the relationship between Shaun and Mason. There's obviously more to Mason than we know at this point, and I'm hoping for a good plot twist with his character.
