Ye Old Nice Cream Parlor is a 1950s pharmacy style sky scraper, only 50 stories high. It has black and white checkerboard floors, winding spiral stair cases, brightly colored walls, doors and curtains, and has tall, elegant 10-foot-tall windows over-looking Sapphire Park.

It is a popular place for neutral citizens and people under sixteen to hang out. There are several koi ponds in the building and a garden on the second floor.

Roleplay!

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha dashed into the sky scraper, a piece of buttered toast in her mouth. "I can't believe I'm late," she grumbled groggily as she fumbled for the keys for the door. As soon as she had a grip on the right one, she unlocked the main diner. She looked around the room, and saw no one else. Then she saw the clock, which read 5:00 am "You have got to be kidding me. My alarm went off an hour earlier again?!"

Taliesin laughed quietly to himself, quiet enough that Acantha was not able to hear it. "Hi," he said in a sarcastic tone. He leaned against the side of the ice cream parlor as Acantha unlocked the door.

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "Sweet babies!" Acantha dropped the keys, stumbling back into a booth, "Talie, quit sneaking up on me like that!"
She stood up and promptly slipped on the keys.
"F- I mean, ow."

((http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliesin It is British! I was right!))

"Brilliant, Ace," Taliesin said, rolling his eyes at her. "You make it so easy." He stepped into the Parlor behind her and helped her regain her balance.

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((LOL))
Acantha sighed, and slapped the back of the sarcasm-loving botanist. "I'm, way too tired for this, you dork." She flipped the lights, and made her way to the juke box in the corner. "I don't imagine you came in this early to scare me, right?"

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

(( =) ))

Taliesin rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Nah, wanted to get some work done in the garden and saw you here." Taliesin followed her.

message 8: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "That's nice. I bet the fish will be glad to see you." The green-haired girl eyed the options, jingling three coins in her hand. "Country or Rock?"

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

"Rock," Taliesin said without hesitation. "I haven't seen the fish yet today." He leaned back against the wall next to the Juke Box.

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((Sorry-was watching a program on prehistoric Australia :D))
After punching the numbers and the clinking of the coins, The buzzing of an electric guitar and glissando of a piano filled the room. "Hey, let me get you a malt. Or coffee? Ooh, I could make a mix of both!" The energetic waitress sprinted to the kitchen, not waiting for an answer.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

((It's fine. I'm not allowed to show you Intruders because of the MA eps, apparently. =( ))

Taliesin shrugged. "Whatever you want to make," he called after her with a wink.

message 12: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha strutted out with a plate of donuts, a bowl of cherries, and two glasses of frothy liquid. "I found some coffee ice cream for the malt, haha." She placed it on a table by the juke box.

message 13: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 12, 2014 07:25PM) (new)

Taliesin laughed. "Looks like you found more than that." He nodded at her and picked up a doughnut.

message 14: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "Yep!" Taking a sip of her drink, her eyes drifted towards the staircase. "Say, what were you planning on doing in the Garden?"

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"Gardening?" Taliesin said with a shrug. "I guess you don't have any plans for almost an hour." He grinned.

message 16: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((Hello? Gallifrey to Elf?))

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yep. Posted))

message 18: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((haha whoops))
Acantha blushed vigorously, chomping on a few pitless cherries. "N-no I don't. I was going to sleep but I can't imagine how my manager would react to walking in on me drooling on a bench..." She paused, plopping another cherry in her mouth, "I guess I could lock it back up and visit the Forest section for a bit."

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

((lol))

"Or we could just eat here," Taliesin suggested, sitting down. He laughed at her blush.

message 20: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha eased in to an easy going smile, her eyes half closed. "That sounds good."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"Okay," Taliesin agreed before picking up another doughnut to eat. He sighed.

message 22: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Crossing her legs, she glanced at the time: 5:20. Acantha slurped the malt through her straw, almost at the bottom of the glass. "So, how are you doing?"

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm alright. Suli was going to meet me at the Gardens, but she can wait." He smirked. "And I suppose you're tired?"

message 24: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "Please, I'm awake-" She yawned, "-awake enough."
((btw can the sing along to Don't Stop Believing? I thought it would be a good idea XD))

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

((Street Light People aka Speed Like Fifo. Aka, yes you may.))

Taliesin laughed. "Yes, bright eyed and bushy tailed, I believe you."

message 26: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha was about to reply but was distracted by the tune that began to stream from the Juke box. "Just a small town boy~ livin' in a lonely world~ He took the midnight train goin' any where." She winked at Talie.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

He rolled his eyes. "I think it's small town girl," he commented, smirking, before continuing her backwards version. "Just a city girl, born and raised in South Detroit, she took the Midnight Train going anywhere."

message 28: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "A singer in a smoky room, the smell of wine and cheap perfume...For a smile they can share the night, It goes on and on and on and on!"
((Hey I'll be over in like 10 minutes))

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

((Okay))

"Strangers waiting up and down the boulevard, their shadows searching in the night," Taliesin continued, "Streetlights people living just to find emotion, hiding somewhere in the night." He grinned. "'Cept it's just early morning."

message 30: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "Haha, and it's almost 5:45," She said,"You shouldn't keep Suli waiting so long."

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

"She can wait," Taliesin replied, rolling his eyes.

message 32: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments She chomped on more cherries, and gave no reply.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Footsteps approached the door, and there was a loud "hmph".

"Hey, Suli," Taliesin greeted his sister, who marched over and slapped him. He rubbed his cheek. "Ow. The hell?"

"You left me waiting for an hour, and I got in a fight," Suli snapped, her hands on her hips.

message 34: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "I told you," She giggle-snorted through a mouthful of cherries. "You shouldn't have kept her waiting!" She turned to Suli. "Are you alright?"

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Taliesin shot Acantha a glare while Suli smirked. "Yeah, I'm fine," Suli said, smiling at the other girl.

message 36: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments "Thank goodness!" She beamed.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Suli grinned.

Taliesin pouted. "Don't I get any sympathy for being slapped, Ace?"

message 38: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha narrowed her eyes at the botanist before giving him a kiss on his sore cheek. "Maybe a little."
she said as she took the empty glasses, the plate, and the bowl (where there had once been cherries) back to the kitchen.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Taliesin grinned. "You'd better." Suli punched him in the arm.

message 40: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha washed the plates, oblivious to what ever was happening in the parlor.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Taliesin and Suli seemed to reach and accord, both contenting themselves to await Acantha's return.

message 42: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments She walked back out, taking notice of the time (6:00) and grinned as fellow coworker Echeveria walked in.
"Hi-a, Echy!" She chirped.
"Hello. Don't you seem... peachy." the part-time janitor said groggily.

message 43: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((gtg bye))

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

((Clearly, I had to go first. =) ))

Taliesin laughed. "Perhaps you should go get a coffee, Echy." He received an elbow in the gut from his younger sister.

message 45: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Echeveria shot a glare at Taliesin before making her way to the janitor's closet.
"She's not a morning person," Acantha said, sliding another coin into the juke box.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

"No kidding," Taliesin said, grinning. Suli laughed. She rubbed her neck.

message 47: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments Acantha had seen to tidying the parlor up earlier, so Echy did not have much work to do other than mopping the floor. She brushed her wet hands dry on her grey jeans. Unlike Acantha, she was allowed to wear casual clothes as long as she had the shirt with her name tag.
Acantha sat with Suli and Talie.

message 48: by Nadya (new)

Nadya Watson | 60 comments ((brb))

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

((gtg))

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Suli smiled. "So, how are you, Acantha? My brother professed his undying love for you yet?" Taliesin blushed and mumbled something under his breath.
