I loved it also! Although, The Crossover is my top choice thus far. I wouldn't have read the book if it was for Goodreads because sports books don't interest me. MY OH MY! I love it! Also, this is my choice to read to my reluctant readers this year!

I have already given it to a kid whose mom texted me and said he can't put it down!
Add me to the list of those who love Caminar! I'm not a huge fan of poetry, but the telling of this story in verse is perfect. The feelings and thoughts Carlos has are done so well in verse, I can't imagine this story any other way.
I forgot to add....Skila Brown lives in Indiana, and I'm in Indianapolis. I'm going to see how difficult it is to set up an author visit to my classroom of sixth graders. I have a feeling that this could be an amazing experience!
