Akansha I really liked Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer series as well as her Dorina Basarab series. Could somebody recommend some urban fantasy series with powerful female lead characters for me?
If it helps, I liked Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series and Seanan McGuire's October Daye series but found Richelle Meade's Georgina Kincaid series kind of weak.

Akansha Thanks so much. I've read some of these books but there are a few which are new to me. I'm going to start reading them right away Wish me happy reading! :)

Karen Forrester Some additional suggestions: Kim Harrison's "Hollows" series with protagonist Rachel Morgan is fantastic. I'd also highly recommend Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series. I prefer female protagonists, but wizard detective Harry Dresden is a great character, and the series includes strong female characters. The stories in both these series are really incredible. Plus Harrison just came out with the hardcover edition of the final book in the Hollows series, so you won't have to wait for it by the time you get through the others. Happy reading!

Erica Def Kim Harrison!!,Charlaine Harris, Jeanine Frost, JR Rain (Sam moon),Faith Hunter,Kalayna Price(Alex Craft) def Karen Marie Moning(fever) Melissa f Olson(Scarlett Bernard). And I'm trying Chloe Neill Chicagoland vamps and Susan Ilene (sensor). Good luck. Happy reading. :)

Jacky Have to read the Charley Davidson series!! Super awesome and funny to boot..

Erica Thanks. Always looking for a new series! Also going to try the Outlander series that they based the show on tv from too

Sandra My fav is the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I also recommend Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. Others are Jane Yellowrock by Faith Hunter, The Hollows series by Kim Harrison and the Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Morgan. Morganville is YA and I love the heroine Claire. She is not particularly kick ass and has no special powers but she is very smart and given her lack of physical prowess very brave too.
