I just bought it for this buddy read when first discussed, bummer, wish I would have waited. I am completely in for the Buddy Read. Yay!
Eugenia, PM me your email address, the one associated with your amazon account and I'll send it to the author who will gift you.
I started tonight. It's definitely a roller coaster of happy and sad moments. Enjoying the story so far.
I finished yesterday. Oh my!!! I think I quit breathing from heartache at one point towards the end. But, all in all, I truly enjoyed this story. IMO, the kids stole the show!!
The thing I love most about this story is the pacing. At first I thought it was starting too slow, but as the story progresses you see that the pacing... the relationship growth...needed the pace. It flowed very well, in my opinion.
General Question: Have you read any other books where the hero falls in love with the heroine while she's pregnant with another man's baby?
Lisa Kay wrote: "Keri wrote: "IMO, the kids stole the show!!"Definitely.
Also, if you're finished...[spoilers removed]"
I think I would have been terrified like her as well, but it goes to show faith never hurts, and the love of a family.

I'm sure I've read one more but I can't remember the title or the author .
Yes, I think this one will stick a little more in my mind, mainly because she has so many more children and is not just pregnant. Usually, what I've read of this type is Historical, too, not Contemporary.
I remembered the other one ,
! And I don't think I've ever read one where the heroine had this many children.
First, I LOVED this book. It was sweet, and funny, and heartbreaking, and sexy...and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.Second, that WAS a lot of kids! And I wholeheartedly agree, they stole the show. I have to admit, I have a special place in my heart for Annie. She was so much like Abby and my heart ached for both of them. I am not sure how I would have reacted if my son came home with a girlfriend who had four kids and another one in her belly. I would like to hope that I would at least get to know her instead of judging her. Although, I do wonder, if Josh was such an absent husband, why have so many children? Seems like if he wasn't even there for their births, he wasn't going to be there to help during the course of their lives. I'm guessing with the way Abby grew up, she just wanted someone to love.
And finally, I felt Abby's pain toward the end. THAT was gut wrenching. I'm still trying to put myself in both Matt's and Abby's places and wondering what I would have done if I were in either of their places.

Glad you love it, Eugenia. I wonder what I would have done as Matt's mom, too. I put myself in a lot of the characters' places in this one.

They meet on a beach. . . . Abby Davis isn’t wearing a skimpy bikini or sipping umbrella drinks, not when she’s busy chasing around four little ones. And Matt McKinney isn’t looking for fun—he’s a Navy SEAL, a grown man with a long list of missions . . . and fallen brothers.
They only have a week. . . . Abby has brought her children to this beach to start over, to give them the enjoyable memories they deserve. Matt’s been sidelined by a combat injury, and haunted by the best friend he lost and the promise he made: to remain a SEAL—focused and dedicated. This leaves no time for what he’s always wanted: a family.
But a week is all it takes. . . . Matt opens her heart while Abby soothes his soul. And though they plan to say good-bye when the week is over, something magical happens on that beach, something neither can forget. Something utterly, completely worth falling for.
