Charles held Darla's hand as they arrived at the Lake.
Darla set their towels on a small tree branch and sat on the grass, running her hand over the ground
Charles sat next to her. "What's up?"
Darla looked at him,"Nothing worth mentioning."
Charles bit his lip, "You know you're the first girl I've ever kissed? Or held hands with?"
Darla looked at him a bit shocked,"Really? But you're...like 18 right? Like me?"
Charles nods, before kissing her lips softly.
She pulled back quickly. "Isn't this a bit rushed?"
Charles nodded, "I wanted to get my first kiss out of the way." He paused, changing subjects. "Ready to swim?"
Darla bobbed her head and jumped in
"What happened to skinny dipping?" Charles laughed as he jumped in.
Darla shook her head,"I don't think we should move from a small kiss to skinny dipping."
Charles laughed, "I know, I'm just joking."
"Yeah right!" She teased, swimming to a small island in the middle of the lake.
Charles followed, swimming quickly.
She climbed onto the small rock and sat down, shivering slightly.
Charles got on the rock, "You okay?"
"Kind of cold." She admitted, giving him a small grin.
Charles got close to her. "Better?"
She rested her head on his shoulder,"Yes. Aren't the stars nice tonight?"
Charles smiled, "Mind if take off my shirt so I can get my body heat to kick in?"
"But you'll get cold! And sick!" Darla protested
Charles laughed, "The cold is worse with the shirt on."
"Alright, just don't get hypothermia."
Charles removed his shirt, setting it on the rock.
Darla's cheeks were tinged with pink and she turned away.
"It's just that you're very... Comfortable in your own skin."Darla replied.
"I just removed my shirt. It's not showing off any more than when we were swimming."
"It's just that, well...." Darla sputtered. "I'veneverhadaboyfriend."
Charles blushed fiercely, "I haven't either."
Darla hugged herself. "Uh, well tomorrow is an early day, so bye!"
Charles held her hand. "What is wrong?"
"Nothing nothing I'm just fine hmmm how about you?" She told him in a rush, jumping off the rock.
Charles hugged his knees to his chest quietly. The one person in three years to show an interest in him decides to leave. Just his luck.
Darla turned around,"Breakfast tomorrow?" She asked
Charles smiled hopefully, "Definately!"
She got onto shore and started walking Away
Jessney arrived at the lake and waved to William.
He jogged over."Should we kayak?"
"Kayak?" Jessney had never been kyaking before.
He pointed to a small dock and began walking over.
He helped Jess into a small orange kayak and grabbed two paddles
