Transit is different in character because it is more domestic - it is the only one of the three set in the UK and it has more of Faye's own life in it. I found Kudos slightly disappointing in that it didn't seem to add anything new, though as always the individual conversations are very interesting.
I haven't read Kudos yet, but Transit disappointed me slightly at the beginning for containing more specifics. Outline struck me for having not only an annihilated narrator, but an annihilated almost everything else as well (I could be misremembering, it's been four years since I read it). Transit seemed slightly more conventional, in that it had slightly more defined scenes.Anyway, I think the two books are equally strong, but Outline seemed the more aggressively experimental.
