In terms of total time, much more reading. But along with its other fine qualities, I find that dipping into Goodreads fills those gaps when I don’t have time to get into a book or when I’m in the company of others.
Reading for me. I have been using Goodreads for several years now, but I never really have spent much time here & when I am I usually just read through interesting topics in the community.
I write a lot of reviews. Many of my GR friends, write excellent reviews, and I like reading them.Keep discovering new books, new friends, and poetry quotes on GR.All this, does take a fair bit of time.
Both. If I have to choose I read probably more. I just signed up for new pages and I just can’t keep up. Goodreads can be overwhelming at time!!
Reading. Although I do spend time writing to friends on here, doing group activities and writing reviews...plus keeping track of my reading goals like books read, the Popsugar challenge, my around the world challenge, etc. But I do spend more time reading. If I didn't I wouldn't complete my goals! I think this month alone I read 22 books?
Usually reading like most of the other commenters. However I log in here more frequently when the book starts to drag.
Depends on the day but I hope its more on reading that Goodreads but I have found myself checking things daily — sometimes two or three times a day looking at the threads and checking my lists of books I want to read and have read — on Goodreads.
Definitely reading, and while I do long on to GR at least once a day, I feel it has allowed me to choose books I end up enjoying more. I read friends reviews, and if those I share interests with didn't care for it, I usually put a book on the back burner. This allows me to actually enjoy what I do read a bit more than I did before GR.
Kind of a balancing act for me - I spend time on Goodreads a little bit in the morning and a little bit in the evening, but I also read later in the evening too. I do a lot of night time reading and sometimes middle of the night reading depending on my insomnia. lol
I normally would say both reading first then on goodreads but lately have been in a reading slump :( so goodreads. I am finding a lot of books are just not good and time is valuable don't want to waste and my Life would always be number one.
Definitely reading but love to hear opinions and voices about books I love or do not love, whether I agree or not, so I'm glad to see posts on Goodreads about this.
Goodreads lately. I've been in a great deal of pain and can't concentrate on reading. I have 2 books going and I'm luck if I can get a chapter or 2 done a day. Here I can chat with people and find more books that I want to read.
I'm here more than reading at the moment. My reading is very slow going. Definitely a mojo thing!
I'd say I'm about half and half - an hour on Goodreads and an hour reading. I wish I could do more of both!
Definitely reading! However, I will say that my time on GR has definitely been increasing over the past year or so. I probably average about 20-30min a day during the week and a little more, maybe 30-40 a day on the weekends. Depending on my workload during the week, I will read 2-3hrs a day and depending on my plans on the weekend, probably about the same or a little more.
