Although I always thought that Gary Cooper was a better actor then Clark Gable....

My great aunt is Carol Lombard...

So I guess he would have been my great uncle...

Very interesting.

Mutiny on the Bounty is such an interesting film and Gable's performance is terrific.But I read in James Michener's book,Rascals in Paradise that Fletcher Christian (Gable's character in the movie) wasn't as noble and heroic as portrayed in the movie.

Another look at The Misfits.Gable suffered a heart attack two days after filming ended and died ten days later.He saw the rough cuts and reportedly said that it was among his best performances.But to me,he looked very stressed in the film.

I haven't seen the majority of his films but loved Gone with the Wind, It Happened One Night, and Mogambo.

Gone with the Wind is an epic,nearly four hours.Enjoyed it several times over the years.After that,couldn't read the book as that's a pretty lengthy one,too.

I got a very ancient print of It Happened One Night which detracted from my enjoyment,though it's a good story.
Mogamambo has a great location.
