"We've had some might fine construction here, too, over the past few years. The indoor swimming pool got repainted, the tree swing was replaced, the gate got a revamp, and new wallpaper was put up. I had my bedroom get carvings on the high vaulted ceilings and a chandelier is right in the center. Very grand, indeed." Cam exclaimed slowly she sat down on one of the chairs near the piano. "We get about five inches of snow in the Winter. Sometimes the village miles from here isn't visible, like it usually is, from the highest point of the castle."
The chair that the princess sat in had a green flower fabric and was a carved dark wood. Behind her was a piano and the grand windows with clean drapes. Everything about the castle was stunning. From the stables to the watch towers. She could play the piano very well but her fingers felt lazy after holding up a tea cup to her lips for such a long time. The fall earlier didn't harm her but left a red spot on her cheek that was fading.
With a long sigh she turned her head slightly to the left to see one of the lower windows were open bringing in cold air. She sent a maid in a traditional uniform and blond braids over to shut it and ordered some white plush blankets to be delivered to the Great Room at once. Before the maid left for good she asked for her to set out swim suit options for her and get a large girls room ready for the guest.
Then she turned to her cousin again with a smile. Her smile faded into a normal face as she saw her cousin's look on her face. What was the matter?
"Adira are you okay? You seem upset or sad." She commented.

He tried not to eavesdrop, as he wondered why the princess had asked his name and made eye contact. Usually the guards were invisible, unless they were needed. Especially him.
"I miss it. The tree swing. Many things change and sometimes I wish they wouldn't. But whatever makes the majority happy is the best, wouldn't you agree?" Cam said with widening innocent childish eyes.
She turned around, not expecting an answer, and looked at the falling snow. Coldness was not something she liked. Warm summer afternoons outside in the pool was what she found fun. But she had to admit jumping off the highest tree into the fluff of snow was fun. Days in the winter always seemed longer to her, she hadn't a clue why. It seemed to drag on and she didn't like how it got dark earlier. Some nights when she wants to read a book the moon light is shielded by the pitch black sky.
Looking over she saw the guard was in the corner of the room. It wasn't like she was that interested. Her cousin was what she was focused on.
Pinching her lips tightly together Cam frowned. What has she been doing besides reading and tutoring? Horse riding was rare, swimming was unusual now a day.
"Honestly, my days have been very boring. Not much is done besides planning for balls." She admitted. "Often I do go out to the village to help pick flowers for special occasions. For instance I believe some more guests will be coming, the messenger gave us many letters this week informing us about arrivals, so I may go out with Mother and pick out some plants."
She didn't love nature, truly, but passing up a time to get out of the castle would be crazy.
"Very well. My sisters and I are making good progress. It is mostly just us older girls doing the work. We've chosen invitations with our crest and everything. Flowers will be chosen soon and I'm getting my fittings soon as are my sisters. Your welcome to help if you'd like. We still haven't decided on the silverware or napkins yet." Cam exclaimed still slightly bored with a hint of laziness.
Her eyes wondered back to the falling snow. She wished she was as special as one of the snowflakes. Each and everyone had its own unique design.

He perked up a little, not too noticeable, at the last question from her cousin. It was his duty, after all, to know if she was interested in anyone. Because then he'd be able to guard her better and stuff.
"What do you mean by that dear cousin?" Cam asked properly. "I was thinking for the silverware we'd have traditional shined golden with the word Krãsa carved into it. Mother said we have no budget and that most people would do work for us for free and the honor of working for the royals would be just as good as a paycheck. I'm not sure I agree with her but that isn't something to stress about now. Also, the napkins, maybe they should have the flag design. What do you think?"
She noticed she never gave her cousin time to answer her first cousin. She tilted her head slightly to the left and covered herself with a light blanket.
"My relationships are chosen by my father. Whoever he thinks will make me happy is who will. I trust him to find me someone who will treat me with respect. After all, I'm getting an arranged marriage. Agreed, we should pay them for their labor. Mother gets slightly off her rockers sometimes, lets just say that." Cam said as a shiver ran up her spine.
She heard stories about her mother but felt no hate towards her. Mother loved her and she loved Mother.
"What about you, have you found interest in anyone? I must say some models on these magazines seem interesting." She teased.
"It's traditional for upperclass young females to have their fathers pick their husbands. Gosh I hope I love the man he decides for me to marry. I wouldn't want it any other way. Father told me he'd pick him soon. Many people are applying. I'm almost eighteen and I soon should be engaged. By twenty most likely I'll be married. I'll surely miss my freedom though. But I can't wait." Cam dared to say. She spoke her thoughts and felt that nothing was wrong about what she said. "Has anyone asked for your hand in marriage? You must have someone to accompany you to the ball, so do I. What if I don't have someone to dance with at the ball? That would be so embarrassing."
Her cheeks flushed at the thought. It would look bad if a girl nearly eighteen had no one to accompany her to such an event.
Cam looked down to her hands, then began to fiddle with her thumbs. She didn't blink for a long time and then began to speak. She thought about her words before saying anything.
"Maybe the princes of the other sectors will come visit. I mean except the one I broke up with when I was fifteen. If you get married I'd be your maid of honor if you'd let me! We could get dress fittings together. You could get married here and people from all around this world would come see you on your special day. So much publicity! But, lets not get ahead of our selves, dear Adira. First you must meet someone." Cam said quickly as she shivered under layers of blankets.
"It last only two weeks. We were both too young to take each other seriously. Though we are friends now, we feel no hate towards each other." Cam slowly explained. " I'd love some hot chocolate."
She looked to the left quickly causing pain in her neck, like a cramp. Ignoring the pain she glanced at the grand clock in the corner. Time passed quickly. Her cousin has been at the palace for already an hour. It was past lunch and dinner would be in four hours. In another hour she'd have to go grab a snack before heading to her room to get into her evening gown. She'd probably take a hot bath and spend some time drinking a glass of water on her balcony, admiring its symmetrical shape. Each hedge was the same but each flower told a different story. Mostly all the flowers would die soon. The snow was starting to sprinkle and life outside was dimming down.
"Stable-boy? That surprises me. I thought you would've said an upper class loyal man of wealth. Not a-a Medium, but a Wealth or a Royal. I-I mean there isn't anything wrong with it-" Cam looked down upon such a classy female girl dating a Medium, like a stable-boy, or would they be considered Poor? She didn't know. "-just wasn't expecting such. I'm sure he was a fine lad, indeed. Have you ever thought about marrying someone that could support you and make you happy? You must, I don't think your father would approve of anything less than a Wealth. I mean, its pretty much a law in the upperclass. Since you are nearly a princess of Krãsa you must marry someone more, well, wealthy."
Her words sounded caring, not mean. As if she wanted the best for her cousin, which she did.

((Sorry to interrupt but Melisquish I have created the king if you'd like to roleplay a little.))
"But Adira, that isn't formal!" Camellia said, trying to stay calm. Her cousin nearly angered her for some unknown reason. She deserved better than a poor stable boy. "This isn't the old world when you were free. Were not. You need permission for everything from your father. He should decide on your formal husband, or approve at least. Don't you want to follow tradition and be a formal upper class lady? You can't go off and marry anyone you want. Just because he made you happy doesn't mean you should marry him. By all means, you should, but that isn't how things work in Krãsa anymore. No one can just break the sacred law for royals. A stable-boy isn't good enough for you, dear."
She looked astonished and her face was red. "You deserved better. You deserve a chance to be happy. You won't be happy living in a barn with a Poor. You'll be happy in a grand castle with a Wealth." She took a long pause before speaking again. Her face was bitter but her tone happy. "Anyway, Adira, would you like to see your room or decorate it to your liking? Just meet up with your maid and we can make arrangements."
" Adira, you don't seem to understand. I had to intention to be rude. I was just stating my thoughts and if I dare say this is childish." Cam exclaimed, her voice lowering and her eyes narrowing into hurt. "Leaving this room will only make you look worse in the eyes of a high class lady. Why can't you accept you are just like us. All I want is the best for you but if you chose a stupid stable-boy over everyone else, so be it."
Her heart felt horrible and her eyes filled with tears. She stood up and dropped her mug splat on the floor and let it soak into the expensive now stained carpet. Glass shattered on breaking into a million little pieces.
"Forgive me, Adira, but I don't feel comfortable in my own home. If you're looking for me I'll be in my room, or maybe visiting Mother in hers. Have a splendid afternoon." Cam said, offended in every single way.
She then stomped off to the door at the other end of the door and grasped the handle. Then slamming the door shut, she picked up her dress skirt and ran off.
Cam truly wasn't being mean, but was saying what everyone else thought. A stable-boy for a girl like that? Unbelievable how the poor boy she loved changed her so much. A smart girl turned into a fool.
"Please, forgive me," She whispered to herself as she walked down the hallway, crying.
She felt bad for what she had said and didn't want to stick around to see Adira any longer in pain.

Once she had finished with the fire she got up and started dusting the tables daydreaming about the elder prince. She didn't get why so many girls were turned off by him. Just because he was disabled didn't make him ugly far from it in fact. But his looks weren't the only thing she liked about him- what she liked was the fact he treated her like a regular person not just a maid that was there to clean up after him.
((Would you rather have me bring in my princess or lady in waiting?))
((Okay then I'll use my princess, I feel like being bossy today XD Will post in a minute))
Scarlett strode into the room- no, strode wouldn't be the right word for it, she more, sashayed in. Odd, especially for her and considering the extreme lack of formality. As if to make up for that, her messy red hair ran loose and rather wild down to her hips, and her dress wasn't very princess like.
Scarlett noted that there was just another maid or lady or waiting in the room, they were all the same to her. She was just a bit repelled by her state of cleanliness, but that too was none of her concern. She did, however, need a glass of lemonade. "You!" She exclaimed abruptly, gesturing to the girl, "Get me a glass of lemonade." After some hesitation, "Please."
It seemed that whenever somebody said please, people were all the more efficient.

Scarlett took the teacup with a curt nod, and then her hand froze, teacup halfway to her mouth. Not a single hair moved and her piercing green eyes darkened, her head moving just an inch so that her now black orbs rested on the maids back.
"Excuse me." She said primly, her voice seeming to darken itself. It had a certain indescribable tone to it, that contained many negative things, but mainly disappointment. High Disappointment.
"Did you just address me as Milady?"
It was clear she was offended to say in the least.

"Indeed it is, to say in the least." Scarlett paused, allowing herself enough time to take a sip of lemonade but still have her cold and hostile composure posed well. She did not deserve the title of milady, she deserved more, so, so, much more.
"I daresay you need a lesson in etiquette to say in the least.." Scarlett said, her voice trailing off into a sharp laugh, deadly but beautiful. She brushed one strand of her red hair away from her eyes absently. "I deserve to be called then milady, do you not think so? You must learn a lesson in respect for your elders, I am not a Lady, so you are not to call me milady. You are to call me-- Oh let's see if you can use that low minded brain of yours to figure it out! You have 10 seconds and I'm counting."

"Excellent. Your Highness should do just fine, then." Scarlett paused, "And also, please do take off that mask you have on, it's quite the irritation and is quite offensive to my rank. Your hiding your feelings from me may have you reported to Father. And I personally don't at all feel like doing that. Although I also must bring up the point that even if you take off the mask, I can still report you to Father." She sipped her tea, the arrogant look written all over her face.

"No person could be not annoyed with me at this point, and I know from my own, that every maid here despises rude attitudes. It's best not to lie to me..." Scarlett had let a few things slip that she hadn't wanted to but was well aware of. One of those things was admitting her annoying and rudeness, another was exposing her inside sources around the palace.

" Maybe so but it isn't my place to comment. I'm here to work and to earn money not complain about my employers behaviour," Belle said respectfully hoping she hadn't said to much as she couldn't afford to lose her job not with her ill sister and her mother out of work to nurse said ill sister. She needed the money to much and as much as she disliked this job it wasn't the worse one in the world. She got clean clothing, a room and good food as well as a few decent members of the household who were actually nice to their maids.
"You mean you're only here for the money? Of course you are, why else would you be here?" Scarlett knew that wasn't true but she was having too much fun toying with the maid to accept any apology of any sort. "You fit out in the utmost amount from all of the other maids, and of course on the streets you wouldn't last a day. Not that that would be a bad thing...."
