Scarlett stalked rather arrogantly into the ballroom. That maid whatever her unimportant name was had ticked her off enough to break a stupid equally as unimportant vase. And there was a vase or two in the ballroom. But her hopes diminished as she saw her all too stupid eldest sister there already. She may as well take her anger out on her and not the vase.

"I didn't realize you wore such ugly dresses." Those were Scarlett's first words to her older sister. As if to make a point she twirled around lightly on her heel, the light plum colored dress trailing on the floor and lifting up slightly. She didn't really care about what she wore, dresses and fashion weren't her thing at all.

((Sorry had to go))
"Who are you mourning- your secret lover broke up with you?" The dress Adelaide wore was gray and ugly, making her look old and miserable. Her hair looked limp and- "Your dead fish eyes just make it a lot more horrible."

"You're most welcome." Scarlett said, flipping back her hair over her shoulder slightly. She hadn't bothered to put it up- she never liked it like that anyways. And although Adelaide didn't seem to want to acknowledge it, the plum was a lovely color on her, Scarlett had barely made it to the ballroom with the rather annoying flow of positive compliments. She just had her normal necklace on- the one she had never ever taken off unless she absolutely had to. It was on a simple black cloth cord and had three sets of three silver beads stuck together with intricate carvings. Sure, Scarlett didn't look her best, especially considering she was the prettiest of the princess that did have red hair, and second next to Adelaide.

((Erm... either way is cool, but super enemies sounds fun XD))

Adelaide smirked and flipped her gorgeous blonde hair over her shoulder as she turned back towards the window. She didn't see Andrew outside anymore, though she wished to actually speak with him. He was working earlier, but he should be off duties now. Adelaide guessed that he was visiting his sister. She sighed and continued looking at the beautifully trimmed flower beds.
"Are you perhaps a flower fairy? You do look awfully like a rotten flower youself. And I've heard flower fairies are most ugly, perhaps even more than a gorgon. And considering your appearance, it would most certainly fit, appearance, personality, and flower obsession and all." Scarlett said snarkily. She knew she probably couldn't deter Adelaide by insulting her appearance, she could use many, many other methods for insulting.

Scarlett's sharp green eyes searched the gardens keenly. Where was he? The Gardener, she meant. She thought she had perhaps seen Adelaide with the Gardner from her patio/balcony. And Adelaide's dazed look out of the window merely confirmed it. "Are you looking for your lost lover? I'm sure Father would approve. Then you would be the laughingstock of Krãsa, something you aren't enough."

"We should see about how long you should be sticking with that. You'll probably murder the suitor to run back to your precious little Andy." Scarlett said rather rudely. But she was always rude, sometimes more than other times. But for now she was just going mild on Adelaide- she didn't want her to run away too soon.

"What can I say, sister, you'd have to prove that to me someway or another. In a way perhaps you are right, after all, why would you murder someone who actually doesn't complain about those dead fish eyes of yours? Must be a treat for you."

"I'm sorry? My eyes are amber, not green. Perhaps you need glasses to have that determined, but you're just to afraid to tell Father and you only poor little Andy-Wandy." Scarlett sneered, batting her eyelashes slightly for effect.

"At least my eyes are unique. You have no idea how many people with sparkling blue eyes I've seen in my lifetime. And you've probably only ever seen your own, considering you spend all of your tile with Andy. Or perhaps I should call him Lover Boy..." Scarlett started, her voice trailing off faintly.

"My hair is auburn and in fact almost turning strawberry blonde." That was actually not a lie, underneath it truly was becoming the new hair color. "The rest of the family has green eyes. And amber green is not a color. Amber however, is one of the rarest eye colors ever. I stand out in my own ways. Say... it that Andy I see out the window?" Scarlett ran to the window, opening it, taunting Adelaide wordlessly.

"I'm sorry, I don't listen to people who blend in. And besides, I'm not cold and how you feel is not even close to important for me." Scarlett smirked and she thought she spotted a figure in the gardens, a few moments later that thought was confirmed. "Andy! My love!" She cried out, faking Adelaide's voice.

Scarlett turned around, "I'm sorry, sister, but I recover from illnesses quickly and rarely fall ill anyhow." She wasn't deterred at all by the threat and noticed how worried and frightened, not to mention, pale, Adelaide looked. If the figure looked up, Scarlett wasn't sure how she would look to him. The moonlight may make her hair look blonde, brown was more likely, and if there was only a little bit of moonlight perhaps even black.

"You know what? Forget it. You are just as dumb minded as him, and he as you. You two truly are meant for each other." Scarlett said in a sappy let sarcastic tone of voice. She moved away from the window. She had better things to do with her time. "I wonder if father knows..."

"Rumors, rumors, rumors. You gossip some, as do I, so why bother preventing just more stuff for others to gossip about? Something you couldn't avoid the humiliation of." Adelaide's cover up had actually slightly made Scarlett hesitate, even if she would never admit it.

"It is not unladylike at all. In fact, half of the ladies in court used their gossiping and information gaining methods to gain respect. And I've heard you gossiping before. And would you mind closing that window? It's best that you don't fall ill so then people can give you your sympathy after all this 'news' gets out."

"You really do spend so much time cooped up in your room. Duchess Katherine? She became a Duchess when she told a Duke his wife was having an affair. And Lady Carolina? She was only a lady after the rumors got out about her being forced to give up her title in her homeland outside of Krasa." Scarlett protested, almost completely forgetting about the window affair.

"Oh my, you're obedient?! What a surprise; it must be a new century," Scarlett said fake enthusiasm and real sarcasm. "Should we perhaps talk about which shade of eye shadow matches your dead fish eyes? Or maybe what type of flower looks the color of the lips when it's petals die." She shrugged. "Your choice."

Scarlett had also always heard that she could be the most beautiful; so she'd always considered it to be a tie. Not that she cared, of course. "I'm not worse at all. And I think it's time for me to head outside, ready to be taken by thieves- something I now realize I would rather have done to me than have such a long conversation with blah old you."

Deciding to be creative, Scarlett opened the window once more, removed the curtains and screen, leaving them on the floor and placed one foot on the window sill. She then gingerly placed the other foot on the thin window sill, reached out and grabbed a branch of a tree, managing to climb down. She had indeed completely ruined her dress and her hairdo, but she didn't care less.
